The V10 is a beast. I regularly tow with my V10 (truck + trailer weight just under 20k)...

smooth, quiet, plenty of power, starts right up, no DEF, no finding diesel stations.

I have also owned 20+ diesel trucks (7.3's of all years, 6.0, 6.7, 6.6 detroits)

When I'm not towing heavy, my V10 gets the same MPG as my 7.3 psd

You can do it ALL with the V10, and it's just more convenient. Gas is cheaper, and the v10 is also cheaper to maintain.

Bottom line - if you're driving 100k miles a year, a diesel is the good choice for longevity and fuel economy. If you're only putting 5-10k miles per year on your truck like most 'expedition vehicle owners', then this V10 is actually an excellent choice

1 thing regarding the comments on the MPG, that number is AVERAGE , so including 4x4 etc, not too bad for a big rig!
