found out today that i will be using it for an elk hunt the weekend after thanksgiving, which means, i have until then to: install a new header, suspension/possible lift, potentially get junk yard 4.0 head, hot tank it, port and polish, valve job, install, port match intake.
i will be towing up the old family trailer, it has been around ever since i can remember, i believe it is 16' long, 6' wide, just a general haul everything trailer, really beat up, but it does the job, it will be loaded with 2 55 gallon drums, one filled with water, the other filled with gas, will also be full of all the camping stuff, enough stuff for a week long stay, on the way out it will be possibly hauling out an elk, and maybe some firewood as well, it is alot to ask of the jeep but i know it can handle it, and hell, once i am up there i get to show my dad why my XJ is better than his new JK! tomorrow i will get pix of the jeep hooked up to the trailer.
as far as actual stuff i did today, i got ahold of a spare tire cover from my dad's JK, he got 31s and the cover fits my stock 29s so i threw it on the spare in the XJ, might as well represent my local Jeep dealership (Moore Jeep in Peoria, AZ)
