Finished the rear bumper/tire carrier last weekend. Way way stronger than the factory sheetmetal bumper. And moving the tire and hilift outside really frees up a lot of cargo space. Took a little longer than I anticipated, but I think it turned out pretty well. Next project will be a front bumper using the rest of the steel from the rear bumper build.

MOAK

Adventurer
Getting it ready for next excursion

I did some regular maintenance, lubed all the steering linkage, and pulled front driveshaft to lube it.. Installed new Cobra 400 watt power inverter. Shampooed the seats, found a large stone trapped in a gusset that's been rattling for about a month. new axle ubolts for the trailer, and new tires installed,,, BFG. KM2s on the jeep, and the older KMs on the trailer.. Busy Saturday.. This weekend I'm going to park it in the barn, get a fire going, and sip on some really nice top shelf rye whiskey while I ponder what to do next.. Moab in May !!

Built some Suspension Seats...

Well actually this is a unique seat I designed and built for a friend that is running a Scout. It's an ultra high bolster seat that reclines... In fact they have the same measurements as the Mastercraft Pro series racing seats with fixed backs. The bolsters are a bit high for sliding through the door into, so I'm going to be leaving off the door side bolster on the next set and attaching them to the inner panel of the door making entry and exit easy. Shutting the door will place the bolster right where it needs to be. Oh and this seat is sporting a speaker in the head rest for the C.B. as well as my new Patent Pending Air Ride seat riser. I'm calling it the Bengels A.S.S. System (Air Suspension Seating) system :coffeedrink:
