What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

I have the TF 3 inch with bilstein shocks. I actually am thinking about get the OME heavy duty springs but i will see after the expo how it does. I just can tell I have very limited room. Maybe I will go find one of the Jeeps in town with the Gobi and do some measuring just to make sure but from eyeballing it I say no chance of it making it into the garage.

I think the Gobi will be quite a bit higher than mine. Those heavy duty springs will push you up too.

Scott, yes it does have legs and they are stored internally in the extrusions. It is a pretty heavy awning, 45-50 lbs I think. There are also external walls to enclose it. I just got off the phone with Paul at Equipt and ordered those as well. Here are some links..........Pauls site Equipt, video of Setup with Paul at Equipt and a site showing wall system. I love it and setup takes seconds!

Installed a bumper/winch on my WK2. Well mostly. Still need to install the front steel fascia.

The bumper kit:

Jeep the way it sits right now (at standard ride height - air suspension)

OK, now that is cool as heck!
One of my favorite parts of the WK is the short overhangs front and rear. Having the winch recessed, and gaining a front skid plate to protect the bottom of the radiator is a beautiful piece of engineering!
Great install.

I was getting all confused having 2 windows open on here reading your build thread and thinking I was still in this thread lol. Anyways I wasnt sure what rack you had. I see it is the Rhino Rack. How do you like it overall. Looks like maybe you have had 2 months. I have not really checked them out yet so curious on your thoughts.

Maxcustody I swear great minds continually think alike, I ordered the manta awning last week and it will be attached to my new j30, I really like the 2 options and after talking to Paul I went with manta as it has a larger side area coverage but yours looks awesome!

That's awesome! How are you going to mount it? Are you going to Expo East?

I love the rhino rack. It is the same as the AEV but you can still easily remove the top if you want. Love the low profile, and it has not changed my mpg at all. It is a quality product and would recommend it all day long!

Gonna miss this one, my pup Expo is sad but I am picking up the UMV j30 in San Diego the week before the overland expo so that would be tough to make.
had the awning shipped directly to John at UMV and he is attaching it with front runner brackets I think.

Looking forward to seeing that setup. You will love that awning!

Sweet well I will have to check it out here in a month. I'm leaning gobi more due to the fact I switch too much on hardtop or soft top so I could very well have a soft top next year. Now if I could just have dual tops and dual doors I would be in heaven.

Just installed The Pronghorn Overland Gear MFES C5-S. Still have to install my winch and waiting on new lights for it but I have to say so far I am very impressed. The build quality and fit are second to none, great finish, everything lined up perfectly. They have done a great job.

Starting final prep for a couple weekends of travel coming up: rotate tires, fresh brake fluid, check / top off all other fluids, fix a janky bit of my exhaust, re-do front lower shock mounts to get rid of some clunking (and be able to gain a little uptravel).

Those are the nicest front end systems available! If I could afford one, I would be all about it. Please post more pics once you get the winch installed and what ever else you might have planned for it.
