I wanted both - a Jeep and a truck. So this has been my daily driver for the last 7 years...

Ford Raptor without question. Probably one of the baddest vehicles on the road IMHO. Barring that, a Tacoma would be my second choice. I will never own another GM product, but that's just a personal preference.

Go big or go home. 4 door Ford F-250. I worked at a gold mine and had one of these as my vehicle. Beat the crap out of it. You have no idea. The only non-cosmetic issue it ever had was that the seat belt light wouldn't turn off. That thing was a beast, and I loved it.

The F-150s were constantly in the shop for various crap. Light duty trucks had no business being there to begin with, but it sullied my opinion of the F-150.

If you're looking to spend money, get something killer like the Raptor or a diesel.

If you're looking to spend under $8000, a Dodge Ram or something in that variety (F150/Chevy-GMC 1500/Ram) will be plenty I'm sure. Just find a nice one. I like the Ram posted on the fist page. That's my idea of function/fashion.

Easy, since I have had my Chevy 1500HD 4x4, crew cab, Quadrasteer since 05. Probably never get rid of that thing. Still love seeing people freak when they notice the rear wheels steering.
But if I were shopping today, I'd be test driving a Raptor. Even tho I have never owned a Ford.

I have a TJ and a flatbed Superduty, they both have their places. That said I'd love to have a 4 door Brute. Since I'm a blue collar worker I think a 4 door Tacoma is more to my budget and would make an excellent truck for me.

Anyone want to trade a 4 door Taco for a Superduty and a TJ?

I've had (all 4X4's) International Harvester, Power wagon, ford ranger, ford PSD, M43, Jeep 5/4 ton ambulance and 3 suburbans.

My next truck will be a 2002ish Dodge diesel four door short bed 4X4. It'll tow the Tin Cabn, haul all the crap I want and be a camping rig.
