But I`m a bit of a classic LR nutcase. I have 8 Series I's, a Series II and three Series IIa's plus bits and pieces of many more.
I have always wanted to build up a 'First Overland' style early Land Rover complete with 50's-60's period camping gear and jerry cans on the front wings that say 'Gin' and the other 'Tonic'. Another dream is to build a 'Darien Gap' style early 70's Range Rover.
Gortex, gadgets and trousers with too many pockets be damned!

Well, how best to put this- I was thinning the heard quite successfully- until!! Until, I found a complete '70 II-a w/ 33k orig NC miles, disassembled and most everything powder coated! Frame and bulkhead look brand new!! So, yet another project followed me home…

If you ever feel like thinning the S1 herd...I bet my wife would sign up for driving to Alberta as that's her dream project.
I am a little more contemporary...though I do love First Overland; I'd like a CT D1 since I firmly believe those are the reason I'm infected with this sickness.

Got rid of my D2 a few years back for my 90. It has a certain simplicity that I appreciate. For some passengers the simplicity of no A/C, power steering and a loud diesel aren't as appreciated. Are they practical to have as your only mode of transportation? Probably not but they're fun.
