Yes, if you install it in the hitch receiver on the truck, but only minimally if you install it on the trailer in order to lengthen the tongue.

The coupler would remain in the same location with regard to the truck.

Extending the tongue will only affect break-over angle somewhat (between rear axle and trailer axle), but with the clearance that he has on his truck and trailer, it will probably not be an issue.

D'oh... I was thinking the wrong way!:mixed-smiley-030:

So was I, and was about to caution on what that would do to leverage against the hitch frame. What about effective tongue weights etc.? I've not had occasion to tow with the TrailBlazer's extendable tongue in the extended position.

That's looking tremendous Nic. You should really, really be proud of the work you've done. You've got talent.

Can't wait to see it up close and in person soon -

Well done, sir; well done!

Looking really good.

I like the shot from above on the hill looking down on the whole setup.

Very nice indeed.

Fantastic! I love how the rig and trailer really "pop" out in that picture will at the green scenery.

Glad you have been able to enjoy all the hard work.

Cheers,

I looked through your thread and didn't see, but where did you get your new axle and brakes? I am wanting to put the same size tires on my trailer as my jeep, but don't know how to get the right size.

First off...Welcome to the ExPo!

I got my axle with brakes from a local trailer parts store.....I shopped around pretty hard and decited it was a better deal to keep my $$$$ here in my state. Shipping killed the deal...plus i have a shop and people to talk to if i have a question.

On the last part of your posted.....Could you go into more detail....

Sure, I want to put wider tires on the axle, but the stock axle is more than likely going to be too short I would imagine, unless I put spacers in.

Could I just change out the bolt pattern to fit my wheels and add a spacer if needed?
