Working on a 12K ib multi mount winch.

As you can see, I ( not that it was needed) I wrapped and loomed all the wiring, even though it was insulated already. I know it's overkill, but should mean I only have to do it once.

I had been looking for a warm zeon, 10K synthetic multi mount- could find plenty at the full price of 1K+$.

I found a smitty built, after doing some research and reading the Amazon reviews, a 12K ib, with synthetic rope, wired and wireless remote for 400, open box amazon warehouse deal. 200 off retail, it said hardware was missing. But I know where a hardware store it.

I'll get it spooled, and the front anderson connection on the truck tomorrow.

Reviews were mostly good, enough so I don't have any concerns. And since its a multi mount, won't be exposed to the elements all the time.

Got the anderson ran to the front, and winch spooled, as you can see- the bracket interferes with the driving lights- ( cause it's always something). Maybe I'll just flip them to the upper side of the bar, but think it will look weird when the winch is off. Or just leave them and slide them back when needed.

All connections were, sodering, crimped and wraped with electrical tape. Should keep it pretty sturdy.

At least with the snow on the bed, I did not have to go far to cool connection after the torch.

Sides drying in the barn, fingers crossed that the critters stay off of them, and we shall see how long it takes for it to dry in 28 degree temps.

It turned out pretty well. The sides fold down, and I have the hardware to make them into a table with chains ( cables would work better, but I had the coated chains already)

Each post has its own folding latch,

I am planning on a small cover for the front sides as it has a little gap.

And I am going to build a plate on a kings for each side in the rear to box it in. All behind the panels so it will look the same on the outside, but prevent anything from sliding out the back.

None of it is finish work, it was all done w/o a plan and in a few hours as per my usual style. Haha

This should probably go on the camper thread. Oh well.

Added the chains,

Added the doors in the rear, ( will get painted when the camper comes off)

Cut and painted the little gap covers for the front.

The fronts.

You'd think for the price that Icon would include the shock condoms. They don't, so I got some from Daystar. And what the heck, Orange it is.

The Icon's that were on it, are still working great, but I wanted the remote reservoir for the added weight w/ the camper. Over engineered yes, overkill probably. But that should be a good thing.
