Zam15’s Tacoma Build

Finally got all of my burnt out bulbs inside the truck replaced that have slowly burnt out over the last several years... Why do they have to make it such a pain and have every bulb be unique? :violent-smiley-031:

Also had to warranty one of my Odyssey batteries as it was no longer holding a charge, it was only 20 months into a 36 month warranty. Good news is that the replacement seems to have higher specs than the last one, I did not even know they made two different versions or did they just upgrade the specs?

New vs old 1400 G35:

All pros, not really any cons that I can think of.. Although the mic gets overpowered by the sound of the truck and you loose some viewing angle when you change to a higher quality.
Here is a 720P shot for example.. Have not tried out the 1080P setting yet. I'm sure the quality would improve but it would also use up more space. Note the chrome Mercedes*

Also got my new headlights installed, all I have left is to adjust them. Plan on doing that when night falls. Install was a pain but these should go nice with the 7" HIDs I already have mounted.

Next up is the 7th Injector Kit to keep the SC happy in all driving conditions.
Comes with:
-Cooler Plugs
-New Fuel Pump, not sure if I need this one, if not it will be nice to have a spare.
-7th Injector
-Calibration Unit

Not too bad... Could still use some fine tuning. Need to get her out in the one to see how the lights do.

Did URD give you the Walbro pump? I would use it. I also think that the kit will keep your engine in a safer air:fuel ratio. Less lean outs and no burnt valves.

Before you install it make sure it is the right kit. Depending on your engine year you may or may not have an EGR. That determines 7th injector or 6 replacement injectors. Two different kits.

Yes the Walbro 190LPH pump. Looked for the EGR and could not find one... My truck is an 04 and read that the EGR was only on the early trucks.. I hope :snorkel:

you need to use the pump if your gonna use the 7th kit.

You shouldn't have EGR. They got rid of it in 97.

also, i have been thinking of doing links again as well..maybe a 3 link setup though to keep the stock gas tank..you get anywhere with your setup ideas?

Cool, that's what I thought. I do plan on installing the pump but don't have the lift to drop the tank, I plan on doing everything else myself through.

Still trying to plan out the rear, still not 100% on what route I want to go. But the current setup works for the time being, guess that's why I skipped to a few other mods that won't result in a lot of down time for the truck.

As for the URD kit I did find time to replace the old spark plugs (33,000 miles~) with the new Iridium plugs. They helped significantly especially with the pinging. I would say 70% of it is gone! Kind of surprised by how much they helped but the old plugs were also showing wear.

What about the daily driver kit from Giant Motorsports?

lift to drop the tank?? whaaaa??

if you have a few friends..just take the bed off..takes no time. 6 bolts and undo the tail light wiring. Easy a cake with a couple friends.

that kit looks nice....

Edit:

Upon some read, kit is only made for vehicles that come with leaf spring on the outside of the frames only, not under the frame like ours. Would take some heavy work to make it work with our trucks.

if there is a will there is a way. ;)

Not sure, who built this Ranger....diggin how clean and almost stock looking it is...if you look close the rear is linked.

yea i think you could make it work with a tundra rear axle and some tweaking. I do like how you get to keep the full bed though. The CO rates right and you can haul a ton of weight good too.

Yea, with that daily driver kit, the CO's are real close to the cab of the bed, wouldn't loose too much space. I had some really good examples of mini-bed cages saved somewhere...can't seem to find them. Had one in a F150 where they built covers over them...it was pretty dang sano...
