Na leave it up I never knew you had a photo of it. If you could email me the pictures you took of the truck that would be great.

Yes it does, it can take almost anything you through at it even with a trailer in tow! wish I had that power. I can pull the pic down if you want, just let me know. :snorkel:

I have several ideas on how to limit the dust incursion, I would also only have a hole for the main shock and not the reservoir like in that picture. I am thinking flexible rubber mats on the top and bottom of the bed around the shock that would allow movement but keep a good seal. Also my current shell does a poor job of keeping out the dust so I have learned to adapt. But that is a good point.

Okay, I'm befuddled... or maybe I just missed your reasons from an earlier post. I'm not getting why you think you need shocks through your bed because you plan on performing a SAC.

I performed a SAC, a little over 6" of lift over stock, and the rear has custom valved ICON 2.5's and 63" ALCAN's in the rear. I run 35's and could easily put on 37's. I'm in the 900's on the RTI ramp. I fail to see why you'd need to cut a hole in your bed to mount the shocks and loose all that capacity.

TangoBule - Love your setup and have already gone through every page of your build thread.

My thinking is always a little off... :REOutShootinghunter

The SAS route I plan on eventually going will be similar to what ORS offered before they went out of business, 14" of travel in the front with a diamond axle.

I have a crazy idea to build a rig that could run the Dakar (slowly) and then the Rubicon and still offer a comfortable place to sleep. I will try to keep the ride height low, just going to add a 2" shackles and be done with with rear end other than shocks.

I am looking for a setup that would allow at minimum 14" of travel, and be able to control a large load for very long distances.

I will not be going the LT route on the front end due to the inherent weakness on the front axle.

I do however like BajaTaco's rear setup and may end up going that route 10":

My current shocks are underperforming, dented and limit my articulation.

Borrego, I will send the pictures when I can. My home computer is currently down.

Beautiful truck!

Can you provide info on the yakima racks you bought. I have been searching for exactly the setup you have, two on the cab and two on the cap, at the same height. I've been to the local dealer but they don't have a clue!

Part numbers would be great if you can.

Replacing my broken intake... I have tried several "fix it" attempts but I finally gave up and replaced it with a new intake box. Now I finally have something clean on my truck :snorkel:

Just an FYI for anyone who has the stock intake you should regularly inspect where the MAF tube attaches to the intake box for cracks (or total separation). If you don't you could end up damaging your motor if you take too long to detect the it.

I was thinking about going aftermarket but I could not find anything that was street legal and compatible with a snorkel..

Here is a writeup with a more permanent fix, I may attempt this on the stock intake that I took out just in case the same thing happens again.

I just had some custom bedside braces fabricated to prevent my tailgate spreading apart any further. I am very happy with the results :victory:

How/why is your tailgate spreading?

Due to the design of the camper shell and the weight of my setup, also heavy off-road use.

Now on to my next project, Jurassic Park Taco :D This movie actually partially inspired me to get into overlanding in the first place. It's been in the back of my head from when I was a kid, well actually I am just a big kid even now haha. Truck is already silver so this would be an easy add :) Most people won't understand but it's my tuck and "I do what I want" to quote South Park.

Edit: Not sure why the image is so huge.. Photobucket is acting up.
