How much longer is the wheelbase now? I'm assuming the front axle is mounted to move the tires forward of stock and the rear axle is moved to the rear to allow cutting of the fenders for clearance. How is the rear axle moved?

Here is a drawing I did of a roof rack supported between the top and bed. I think it would seal fine along the side but the top might leak where it meets the cab.

Ace Hardware stores can get 11lb tanks and you won't have to pay shipping on them. That should make the price for steel tanks lower. They are not listed on the public ACE website but they should still be able to get them from the warehouse.

A con for aux. tank is increased suspicion at border crossings. It might seem like a 20 gallon drug carrier. A Jerry Can would be easier to inspect.
