Hard top? Soft top? If a hard top I like my Teraflex Nebo. I do not like the exo cage style and like something as unobtrusive as possible. I like the Rhino Rack stuff too, but was more expensive. All that being said the tent now resides on my trailer more than the Jeep.

As long as the gap isn't huge you should be able to weld it well enough. Just grind and test, grind and test, ad nauseum, till you get it close.

i run a trailer as well. tent stays on it most of the time now. just kind of situation dependent.

Another vote for the Teraflex. Has been on the jeep for almost 2 years. No issues.

It is an a2. A3's are set up to run with hummer, so have the big run flats and a different axle. Good start!

cant speak to quality and they are a bit pricey but cargo craft makes an enclosed offroad ready insulated trailer. May be out of your price range, but would have a lot done already that you wouldn't have to. My wife still likes the RTT..thank goodness.
