    Roof Rack for a RTT

Thats my plan too Vendish. I have a bunch of 1" square tube for my trailer project. Am going to cut some of it to length and drill a few holes. Should make a decent enough quick rack for when the top is off.

    Roof Rack for a RTT

Hard top? Soft top? If a hard top I like my Teraflex Nebo. I do not like the exo cage style and like something as unobtrusive as possible. I like the Rhino Rack stuff too, but was more expensive. All that being said the tent now resides on my trailer more than the Jeep.

How do you store your trailer?

My dilemna is that I am moving but giving up a spot. At least I am not in an HOA, but I am the last house....literally, before it starts. I had 4 garage spots in my old house, and will now have 3. Had the boat and the trailer in one, cars in the other. For now am parking the trailer in the...

    My M101A2 Build Photos

As long as the gap isn't huge you should be able to weld it well enough. Just grind and test, grind and test, ad nauseum, till you get it close.

    Texas M101A2 trailer build

It is an a2. A3's are set up to run with hummer, so have the big run flats and a different axle. Good start!

Rogue One’s M101A3 Build: because I’m too cheap/poor to buy a shiny, sexy, new Overland Trailer

Good stuff. Looks like a fun build. I still just have a pile of parts laying around with no time to play.

Really Big Adventure – M101A2 Build

Sorry, just getting back on this. busy couple of days. Regarding surge brakes, mine didn't work when I bought the trailer is the simple answer. My new axle is set up with electrics, but still have to run the harness in the Jeep. I figure pulling the factory axle and surge system and replacing...

Really Big Adventure – M101A2 Build

Jack is just a cheap harbor freight weld on. I can manhandle pretty well too, but it is nice. I am definitely stealing the swinging gate idea. I am still running the pintle, but really like the idea of the lock and roll or similar type. I am just on the cheap right now. Still fabbing my...

Really Big Adventure – M101A2 Build

Wow, looks great! Really like the front storage area. I have been toying with the idea of hinging my gate like that for exactly the same reason you did. Good execution there. Have you thought about replacing the axle? I have a dexter sitting on my bench, just waiting on the time to do it...

Roof Top Tents w/ Overhang and Without - thoughts, opinions, and experiences

Ordered mine without the overhang but CVT sent the wrong tent that included it. They offered to let me keep it or return on their dime. It was actually cheaper for them to keep and i really didn't have a huge preference other than the actual price). it so I kept it. I like it, it is nice for a...

    converting enclosed trailer feasible?

cant speak to quality and they are a bit pricey but cargo craft makes an enclosed offroad ready insulated trailer. May be out of your price range, but would have a lot done already that you wouldn't have to. My wife still likes the RTT..thank goodness.

    SoDak's M101A2 build

Thanks for the advice. I noticed the holes. this moving thing has been going on forever. Slow and painful. We are buying my inlaws house and it is a mile away. We've been in ours for 22 years. Amazing how much stuff you can accumulate, especially when you build a 20 x 28 two story shop...

    SoDak's M101A2 build

Looks familiar!!!! Nice work. Unfortunately I am at a standstill for a bit as we are in the process of moving. All my parts are still sitting just like they were 3 weeks ago. Think my wife would kill me if i took time to work on the trailer right now.

    SoDak's M101A2 build

Got my spacers picked up from the machine shop. My goal was to be able to save the hub centric ring, and he was able to do that and leave enough meat that it'll be structurally sound. Really got a deal on it as he had to press out the studs to get it in the chuck and he spent a lot of time...
