    Let's see your LJ's!

Wasn’t sure if I should start a new build thread or post my ideas here? I’ve been trying to decide on what to do with my LJ. It’s a 2005 unlimited sport. It is very basic, the only options, are a/c, automatic transmission, and a hardtop. The only upgrades I have are hella lights and an OME set...

Best (Or Most Dependable) All-Terrain Tire?

I moved back to PA from CO last year and I am running BFG KO2's on my DCSB Tacoma in the 235/85/16 size and they are horrible in the rain. Any time I need to pull out they break loose unless I pretend I am on ice. Which is weird cause they are great in the snow, I don't understand how a snow...

Anyone using Cooper AT3 XLT tires?

Any updates on the AT3 XLT's, after moving back to Pittsburgh I am not terribly thrilled with the BFG KO2's performance on wet pavement. Living in Colorado I didn't see nearly as much rain lol.

    JKU vs JLU

I just prefer the way the Taco drives and feels. I feel more connected to it, the 4runner felt mushy and numb to me. But, it could be all of those years driving CJs, YJs, TJs, and even a Samurai that have ruined me for creature comforts :smiley_drive: I wold say our Crosstrek has just as much...

    JKU vs JLU

I am still making payments on the truck, so I could probably get a lower payment just by selling both and getting a 4 door jeep. But, the more I look at it, its is probably cheaper in the long run to refinance my truck if I can to help my monthly budget. I also contacted the insurance company...

    JKU vs JLU

The two biggest things would be; Decrease monthly bills, insurance on all 3 cars is kind of ridiculous at the moment. Have an easier time living in the city.

    New Jeep JKUR

I’ve got an OME kit on my LJ. I would say contact http://http://dpgoffroad.com and see what They can do for you. They were very helpful and reasonably priced in my opinion.

    JKU vs JLU

. The Tacoma is great for bringing stuff home lol! Already have the baby furniture. Really the only draw back to the Taco is parking in the city. Especially at work. That’s one of the reasons I entertained her idea and started looking at 2018 JLU’s, JKU’s, and 4Runners. Hoping one of them...

    JKU vs JLU

Thanks I love my Truck. But push comes to shove I am a jeep guy :). However the truck drives so nice I took it to Moab instead of the Jeep.

The Wrangler is paid off, the others are financed. Got 3 more years on the Taco.

    JKU vs JLU

No minivan! besides I am too old for more than one kid, I barely have enough energy to walk the dog. But, back to Jeeps, Your JKU is pretty good with one kid? And have you considered going to a JL at all?

    JKU vs JLU

This is one and done! There will be NO minivan! :) Basically she is trying to use this as an excuse to convince me to consolidate down to one vehicle. I know the Taco is an excellent dad-mobile, and the jeep came way before the girl friend lol. However in her defense there are times I would be...

    JKU vs JLU

Guys, I am going to be a dad and the girl friend wants me to get rid of my Tacoma 2015 DCSB TRD OR and my 2005 Wrangler Unlimited. She currently drives a Subaru Crosstrek. Her logic is two cars instead of three will save us more money and be easier with living in the city. I am considering it...

    Family vehicle Toyota vs Jeep

Van!!!! Jo are you trolling me? :D Just kidding, to answer your question yes my family will be complete with 1 child. After reviewing finances and the cost/benefit ratio I am leaning towards paying the Taco off. I am going to do some car seat test fits once the temps are out of the single...

    Family vehicle Toyota vs Jeep

@nwoods your response was probably my favorite! I did decide to test drive a 4runner yesterday, it was nice but I didn't feel as connected to it as I do my Tacoma. I am definitely leaning towards keeping the Tacoma and maybe refinancing it to help out my monthly budget. I ll probably test...

We didn't hit the trails I would have in the Wrangler, but we had an awesome time. I ll have to find some Colorado Jeep wheeling pics.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the input Taco does have a topper and it is a great road tripping vehicle for sure. That's reason we took it to Moab over the Jeep .

    Family vehicle Toyota vs Jeep

Never thought I would see the day where fatherhood was going to be my reality! I’ve got some decisions to make. I currently have a 2015 DCSB TRD Tacoma and a 2005 Wrangler Unlimited. Both are awesome for different reasons. But, now I’ve got to start thinking about child transport and finances...
