    2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2

Nowhere to drive RZRs here unless you know someone with property of want to go to a track. I rented one out west and it was a blast.

    2005 Tundra with 165k, Thoughts?

Well, color me surprised. For reference: 2016 Taco Double Cab TRD width 75.5 height 70.6 length (short bed) 212.3 2004 Tundra access cab width 75.2 height 70.5 length 218.3

    2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2

I really like the interior. I haven't driven a 3rd gen, so I'm not sure if I can forgive the looks of the front end just yet. It's a real slippery slope in the northeast. The 2nd gen Tundra is definitely way too big for anything around here, and something Tacoma/Colorado or even Jeep sized I'm...

The new ones are way too big IMHO. 1st gen is "just right"

    On Road Amber Lights

I ran Micro DEs tinted yellow in my last XJ. Was very happy with that.

I really am not a Toyota guy. But even in the rusted out, beat up state that T100 was in, it just.... went. It did it's job. 155k miles on it and the doors open and closed perfect, the motor quietly ticked away like a little sewing machine and didn't have a leaking fluid on it, and driving it...

    2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2

I'm thinking more and more about the 1st gen Tundras. I had a rusty T100 for 3 weeks up until last week (cool truck, WAYY too much rust for me to keep it to DD) and sold it. I might grab a lower miles 05-06 DC Tundra from someplace where rust isn't much of a thing, then undercoat the hell out of it.

Amber Hella 500s or 550s are my favorite.

It is pretty much the perfect truck for me, in my mind at least. I'm not in a position to get one this year, but maybe next? Who knows. I just bought a house and I'm currently looking at GMT400 2500s right now for a new DD, so you can tell what my budget is currently. lol.

I wish this covered the T100 I just picked up.

T100 Extended Cab Truck Cabin Build

How's the frame and rust underneath your truck? Was hard to find a northeast guy with one of these. I just picked one up cheap with 154k miles but it's pretty crusty, going to repair the driver's front leaf spring mount this weekend, get some junkyard lower control arms from the west coast and...

95 Land Rover Discovery 1, needs head gasket. $1000. Long Island NY.

Verified exhaust gas getting into the coolant. Motor still runs, just be prepared to fill it with coolant every hour or so. Minimal rust for a northeast truck. door sills have surface rust, are NOT soft or rusted through. some bubbling under the safari windows (seals replaced before I bought the...

1999 Montero Sport Limited 4x4 Gauging Interest $4,500obo LA CA

Wow, nice. My dad had a 97.5? with the 3.0, 5 speed, rear diff, skids, AND great rear tire carrier. 32s from the factory I think too. I love these, if I found a 5 speed I'd buy it.

    Yokohama geolandar G015 or Coopers?

I hate my AT3s. Probably the worst tire I've ever run on the street, and puncture easier than the old "weak sidewall" BFG ATs. I puncture two sidewalls. Off road they are actually pretty good, but once it gets a little muddy they get useless quick like any AT. They are wearing like iron though...

Please talk me out of my irrational desire for a Disco

My D1 is my DD. Bought it for $2200 from the original owner. Apart from the fuel mileage I really do enjoy driving it every day.

There isn't one legal "trail" I could ride that is under 3 hours away. I need a long-range midsize truck.

    2017 Chevy Colorado ZR2

This. If I lived out west I'd have a 3/4 ton diesel rig with a camper on it and a dirt bike. But where I go camping and exploring a full-size would get slammed between trees all day. Sure, the extra capability is great, but the size in every day lift and for what I actually need it's too much...
