The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

If I did the math right the fuel economy is only slightly worse than my 2500 gasser does unloaded. Not bad.

Do people use multiple shore power plugs?

When I had a 30 amp rig I carried a 50 to 30 amp adapter(we ended up at a Harvest Host in Amarillo once and all they had was 50a) generator to 30a RV adapter(maybe some generators have the RV style three blade?), and a 15/20 to 30 adapter that I never had to use. Also on the theme of using...

Inverter, generator or both... or niether?

100w panels should be about 100$. Even a good solar controller that would run two panels is less than 200$.

Inverter, generator or both... or niether?

Inverter, more solar, and a dc to dc charger from your truck battery. Probably a 40ish amp dc to dc and 2guage wiring. A generator and its fuel can(s) would take up a lot of space and payload in a truck camper. What kind of truck is it?

Why does no one use a high truck shell?

I fit a standard queen in the back of mine, but it’s above the wheel wells so less headroom. And you have to force the tailgate closed on the Chevy size box.

Why does no one use a high truck shell?

I’ve got a cab high aluminum contractor topper. Heavy enough two guys can barely move it. Side doors, not side windows. If I have to back up out of a parking spot it’s a giant blind spot, I just go back and pop the door up so I can see. It’ll close itself the first bump I hit. I wish I had the...

    Is my steering box bad?

It felt like the steering shaft wasn’t connected to anything for the first inch of turning, I suppose. It seems to still be fixed. Not sure how the bolt loosend up by itself or why I wasn’t able to tighten it properly.

    Uncovered Truck Bed Storage

You could just put drawers in it. Decked or the toolbox style weather guard drawers.

    The Escape 19

Looks good. I sold our 30’ trailer, it was just too big. I borrowed a 20’ long by 7’ wide cargo trailer today and it’s much easier to maneuver.

Nothing borderline about it, and I’m a millennial that’s supposedly driving this automotive technology craze.

    The Escape 19

I had dual golf cart batteries on my 30’ trailer. Furnace was the biggest draw. It would go 2-3 days at ~50f. I didn’t have a battery monitor so maybe I could have gone longer.

2022 Ford F-150 Lightning Electric Truck

I assume so. Also, what about heat? When it’s -28f and I have a 45 minute commute how much of my range is getting eaten up just keeping the windows defrosted? That’s if it even has adequate heaters in it. Of course that brings up the idea of pre heating the car before I get in on a cold day. You...

    Is my steering box bad?

It's impossible to tell from the video I made if the shaft was loose on the original steering gear. I should have pulled the skid plates off and observed it from underneath as someone turned the wheel. Its very awkward to get to it from up top. You have to stand on a stepstool to get up there...

    Is my steering box bad?

So after a few days driving with the new box it was sloppy again. I admitted defeat and scheduled a time to bring it into the pros. Long story short he tightened the bolt up on the steering shaft to steering gear and the steering is tight again, for now. He mentioned that the shaft might be worn...

Rotopax / Fuelpax expansion in the sun

I bought them from British Atlantic? I think. They’re the green ones. They’re deformed enough they don’t stand up straight anymore.
