DIESEL 2012 Power Wagon - NOT

Yup...still unobtanium. I once spoke with a Dodge engineer who was working on Ram trucks. He told me that it would have to be a different diesel...still Cummins, perhaps...but a different physical size. They are worried about too much weight and that the Cummins sits too low for a "dedicated"...

What Dodge pickup should I buy?

Dakota = no way. 3rd gen 1500 = maybe. My 2nd gen can tow that, but I don't like to. My vote would be the 3rd gen 2500...wait for it...GAS version, not the diesel. I think my father-in-law's '95 Cummins is a great engine, but here in Cali you now pay a premium for diesel. He just had some...

    1996 Dodge ram build...

I had 4.10s (one end is actually a 4.11) installed when I mounted the 285/75R16 (33 inch equivalent) tires. The original 3.53 gears are there for CAFE standards and I didn't like the loss of the low end. The 4.10s are the gears the truck needed for that size tire and it runs great with this...

On Board Hot Water Shower System

I have the same unit...perhaps a different name from Camping World. I have pumped water from a Reliance jug and it worked well. I have also looked at the Valterra tanks...the 42" for 24 gals. Just a thought: when I ran some really cold water from the Reliance I ended up re-pumping heated water...

X10 the advice from Chasespeed. I'm driving the same year and model with 225k miles on the ticker. As soon as I installed the ARB front bumper w/ Warn 15k winch (approx 360#!!!) I was...and still am...chasing front end problems. Basically, it will wander with all that weight out front. You could...

    4WD PU buying advice

I spoke with a Dodge Truck exec once about this. (Re: the Power Wagon) Highly doubtful...he cited the extra weight and the diminished clearance (deeper pan) as big issues.

    Vehicle Ideas

My sister drives an '00 Expedition with 150k+ miles. It still runs but has had more than its fair share of repairs over the years. It did not tow well...they bought an F250 to cover that end of things. We replaced a Honda Pilot with a 2010 Burb. More comfortable, more room, more capability, and...

    new CRF250L enduro from Honda

Ditto. I had always ridden red until I bought the WR250r. A great bike with some minor hiccups...too heavy, geared towards the street, crappy tires, quite tall. I hope Honda has been reading the write-ups on the blue bike and responds accordingly. If they do, it'll be a homerun. :sombrero:

    ARb's or winch?

I have the M15000 up front in an ARB bumper. I've never had to use it, but...I'm really glad it's there. :sombrero:

Dual 6 volt batteries for starting

x2 on the size and weight of the 6v. I use them in my MoHo as house batteries...they're great as deep cycles. But I can't imagine putting them under the hood of the Ram. Good luck, though. YMMV...:sombrero:

Frustrations of a 2nd Gen Ram Interior

I have the same issues with my '96. I have just installed the Geno's Garage cupholder. I had the same concerns as you but it is so much better than the WORLD'S WORST CUPHOLDER LOCATION EVER. I am using the pillar mount for trans & oil temp...compromises are sometimes necessary. And then I will...
