    Overland Journal: Discovery I, 5-speed

I had the exact same issue on my '96. It was the stepper motor.

    Range Rover P38 diesel conversion

I agree with Eric, you're gonna want a manual glow plug system if you don't have one already -- although cold starts are probably less of an issue in Florida. Maybe I missed it -- are you only running a single battery? Also looking forward to the A/C install. So far the Rover 6.2 crowd (all...

Are you gonna put AC in it? Curious to see where you'll mount the compressor.

Value of an '80s Defender 110?

Start pricing NAS 110s if you want to step into Crazy Land. The 25 year rule is static and time marches on. IMO the market for for NAS D90s/D110s will disintegrate once Julian, et al., can start shipping over the ROW Defenders we want. We're rapidly closing in on that threshold. 2012 is no...

Value of an '80s Defender 110?

I followed that truck for a while -- looked like a nice truck and a well done conversion. $15k for a registered diesel D110 that isn't falling apart is not a bad deal at all. I don't mind that paint either.

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

Was just thinking that.... dunno if it's the lighting or the camera position or the grille but for whatever reason that LR3 looks bad freakin' ***.

    My new-to-me 6.2L Disco

Fans came in today. They fit the radiator and the engine bay perfectly. 2500 cfm should do it! Bunch of parts are coming in soon -- once I get the radiator mounted I'll be moving the truck to a proper bay with a lift. Lots of things on the horizon, stay tuned..

    95 LR Discovery 5 speed 140k miles $6000

The SD is very desirable. $6k is a little optimistic for that kind of mileage -- but it does look pretty clean.

Evoque: I have seen the future of Land Rover ...

The only way you can pay $70,000 for an LR4 is if you tip the salesman $10k. The MSRP maxes out at $59k (HSE LUX w/special paint & every option) and only in the major SUV markets will a dealer try to get near that. When I was shopping for LR3s the dealer could've had me out the door at $48k in...

1967 NADA 109 cant make up my mind on this 2.6 power plant

Have you looked into an earlier Cummins B3.3? I've never priced one but they definitely fit the profile of a small, basic, ultra-reliable motor. They're used in larger tractors/combines. The NA versions get around 90hp, 220 lb ft if I remember correctly. I wanna say they aren't much heavier...

    Land Rover LR3 questions

I don't keep a very close eye on the LR3 community but it sure doesn't seem like there are too many major recurring issues. The only thing I hear is they eat brakepads pretty quickly
