    D110 respray

G4/Tangiers orange is one of those weird colors that -- to me at least -- only looks good when there are a healthy amount of sponsorship stickers on the truck. Vesuvius Orange is the one color many people seem to like -- I think it's a bit much. And you can never go wrong with white.

Those things come apart so easily it seems like you'd have less problems getting it painted properly than a Disco or an RR or something. That's a pretty nice color, Timo, but you can't go wrong with Sandglow if you can get the right paint...

New radiator went in today for a test fit and it fits beautifully. Time to order the dual electric fan setup...

    My new-to-me 6.2L Disco

Yeah that or cover the inside in a Second Skin type of deal. I think if I started to go that route ($$$) I'd probably need a better idea of how much the louvers would actually help

    My new-to-me 6.2L Disco

Thanks for the post Ray. Removing the insulation pad isn't really an option for me -- the 6.2L is far too loud to lose that much soundproofing.

    Neat picture...

Hope those Jeepers aren't taking credit for a Land Rover ad!

    My new-to-me 6.2L Disco

Freed up some space in the motor bay for electric fan set up. That last little bracket (OE radiator support bracket I believe) on the bottom is getting sliced out tomorrow -- my new radiator will ride on rubber mounts that sit on the crossmember. No re-location of oil cooler required. I think...

Land Rovers To Be Produced in China

That article doesn't mention if they'll be made for domestic consumption or for export. China will soon have more car drivers than the entire western hemisphere combined. I don't think it's unreasonable for manufacturers to start setting up shop there. Much smarter than paying shipping/tariffs...

Show me your manual electric cooling fan setup

The point is a giant NA diesel like the 6.2 is going to need constant cooling, for the most part. If it's a cool/cold day, or I'm taking a long descent down a slope, I can turn it off, but the fan is going to spend most of its time on no matter what -- clutch fan, electric, whatever -- because...

Show me your manual electric cooling fan setup

Yep, same as in my original post -- the Flex-a-Lite Super Low Profile dual fans. They are indeed listed at 2500cfm. Thanks for the JEGS links -- that's also where I ordered my fan setup from.

Show me your manual electric cooling fan setup

I don't think it'd be silliness for my application. I have a 180F thermostat, operating temperature is at/around 190F. It's a diesel so temp fluctuations are normal and frequent vis a vis ambient temp and/or hills. Having the fan on 100% of the time after normal operating temp is reached isn't...

Show me your manual electric cooling fan setup

Yeah the Jeep guys like them too. It's about 1.75" too thick for my application though. I'm struggling to fit a 2 5/8" fan set up
