Got my butt kicked by mine today! Was doing regular old maintenance changing the rear main seal. Got it almost all back together only to look down and see that the bearing had somehow fallen off the rear main cap and was laying on the ground! Now I get to spend Monday doing it all over again...
What not to do...
I'll add (if I can find some) a couple pics of how I tried to do mine to keep it removable but its not really what you seem to be after. One thing I wonder is, should the mount be solid or have some sort of bushings to allow for frame and body flex.?.
*addition* Sorry... only...
That is freakin' awesome!!!!!!! You need to get some off road videos too!! :)
Just because this is sort of relevant and most the guys that read it where I posted it like the read, I'll add it here if you don't mind.?.

Hmm... interesting challenge
If I follow this correctly, you don't like the Landy cage because its basically not removable due to lots of bolts holding it in place, right? Hmm... This is and interesting design conundrum. I wish I had some better ideas but I'm gonna watch and see where this...
There are about three or four common oil leak issue areas actually... but what Mudbutt said is just as likely as any of them. Rear main seal likes to go out between 80-150k. The valve cover is a usual suspect as well. And like mine, you'll want to order the far better Fel Pro gasket kit for that...
....and? hahahaha! Not like that's a big deal even if it were true. :)
I'm gonna have to wait a payday or two before I can come get stuff from you guys Jan. Seems some Trucklite LEDs have found their way towards me for my Scrambler. :)
Hey Stumpy.... Have you done any of the round trucklites in a CJ/TJ type vehicle yet? I have a pair coming for my Scrambler and would like to know what to expect. Fitment and wiring needs etc...
