    94 yj new seat recommendation

Good news is your working with an older jeep. The YJs have a fairly simple mounting system and less room restrictions for getting seats to fit (as opposed to say an XJ or Grand Cherk). One solution is to hit the local salvage yards and test ride a few. See if you can find a seat from something...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Mmmmm... WAGGY! ;) I built a winch bumper for my old FS Cherokee... what a PITA! Sure isn't a lot to build off of up there. Looks good sir!

Me either...hmm. Inquiring minds and all that. Can't see how they would fit a coil in a smaller cap?

Yeah... sounds steep. Esp. when you think you find all the CHI-knock offs on fleabay for less than half. There is honestly a huge difference in quality. DUI does it right, builds it specifically for the odd odd fire, and engineers them to work and last. IIRC, you actually get the...

Simple is good. :) I read in JP magazine where DUI is working on a smaller cap HEI for the Buick motor. It also has a longer shaft area to clear the manifold which gives ya more room to adjust the dizzy. Just thought you'd maybe be interested? :)

Yeah...X2 on the bumpers. The "Tube trend" is kinda gone and there are far more protective options out there. And 350 for a hard top is a score! :)

What is NEEDED for a decent overland set up?

Lots of good opinions here so I'll just toss mine in the ring. Basic survival gear is kind of a no brainer as is camping stuff. Right behind those I'd add self recovery equipment if you plan on going solo (not the preferred way but its give-take there really) A winch will make extraction far...

What did you do to your Expo Jeep today?

no kidding... right? Unfortunately I forced myself to take the weekend to recover. Spent 4 days in the field last week and no sleep for the last 47+/- hours. Guess I'm getting old since my back has been screaming at me due to the gear. That's never happened before. :( So I've stayed home and...

Best way to match your gears to your tire size for over all driving is here... http://www.grimmjeeper.com/gears.html the "charts" that are used by most catalog stores are kinda vague and just work in the ball park. You'll want to look at what was factory for your drive train/tire combo and see...

    Diesel News: POST HERE

Yeah... I see a lot of locals add stuff for sale on the site and there is frequent errors. Not like I can fault them since my German speaking ability is limited to beer and ....uh, stuff. ;) I'm just curious to know what kind of set up this is? Displacment, tranny bolt pattern...HP & TQ...

    Diesel News: POST HERE

Saw this today and never knew GM was putting diesels in kinda current Caddys? Anyone know anything about these? While my guess is that it would be pretty complex wiring wise, It would have to have a decent ride, power, and compactness to be in such a fancy-schnamcy car...wouldn't it? *note* its...

Sliders, care to share what you have on your Jeep?

To each their own seems a standing mantra here so I'll just offer the repeat of it. I think they are plenty strong for anything a medium-medium HD off road excursion could offer. The fact that they hug the lines of the jeep means no extra stuff poking out to snag a rock you may have missed. With...

The Jeep "things"... One and two.

Thanks John... Its a slow work in progress. I'm trying really hard not to paint...er, weld myself into a corner but I really kinda "needed" to see some visual progress for motivation. I head out to the field tonight for the remainder of the week so maybe Saturday I can get some more done. I need...
