I have a buddy that works at Torfab, the shop that the seller claims did all of the updating work. They're a super legit shop. Do a ton of custom land cruiser builds that cost $50k+. Lots of questions about what that rig is... But the mechanical work may be very legit, if Torfab did it.
Edit -...
Wow... that is SUPER tempting/unique.
6'+ interior standing height in the box (I'd have to imagine), no 6.0L/modern diesel crap to worry about, narrow box... checks a lot of boxes for me. Bummer that it's DRW AND 2x4... but being the truck platform vs. van platform, both should be a relatively...
Based on the overhand past the rear axle, I'd guess it's the equivalent of a ~14' box van. Interesting that the front-end looks like it's leaf sprung. Most of the big production 4x4 aftermarket companies (quigley, advanced 4x4) do coil sprung conversions. I've seen a number of people swap the...
Couldn't stop myself from sharing this... gotta respect the amount of money/work the owner put in to this, as ridiculous as it may look...

What is the interior height of the box? Hoping you didn't buy at auction and discover the blown engine afterwards... That'd be a major bummer.

Man. If I were one of the many people with the money to buy a 4x4 sprinter, I'd jump on this in a heartbeat. Slap a camper on the back and you'd have an awesome rig... what type of work do you do, if you don't mind me asking?
I drive by the place that sells these all the time - they have tons of the JDM imports. Funky little place. Love the photo w/ the mini-me in the bed of it. I would be fascinated to see what would be possible with the suspension/gearing to get larger tires on it... those things look tiny.
$56k for a vehicle w/ 200k miles... Can't tell for certain, but it seems like the ambo box was left as is and built around. I guess it has decent amenities and good recent service, but that still seems like a steep price. But tis the #vanlife premium these days, i suppose.

Used zamp solar charge controller for sale - asking $200 (buyer pays shipping), they retail for $380 new. Unit was used for the past 3-ish years in a travel trailer, customer is just upgrading solar systems and replaced it with a MPPT controller.
Includes the remote display - only thing that is...
It's a weird one - it has appeared that bids can be made for the past few months, but the sales date has been "future" for months as well. So it isn't actually assigned to an auction, aka doesn't have an actual action end/sales date.
I've been watching this for the past 6+ months (possibly since before covid?). Unfortunately it has just been sitting there. Auction status has said "future" for the entire time... So no idea when this will actually go to auction.

BuT iTS a 7.3 and 4x4!!!!! #vanlife!! All jokes aside, pretty crazy to see that prices are still crazy. I'll be super interested to see if/when all these van/truck/rv prices start to fall and flood the marketplace. Who knows... maybe this is the new reality.
Best bet is checking junk yards consistently within a couple hour radius around you. The bigger chain junk yards have searchable inventories online with photos. High tops pop up every few months. Not too hard to cut them from the donor van, trailer them to you house and install them. You'll...
Also FYI - the whole "I have a friend with ____ item" is a regularly used bit. I've had people try to use that specific bit on me on other forums. Sucks that it happened... I've typically relied on asking for photos of the actual product and usually scammers won't be able to send detailed photos...
Inverter is SOLD
Nice, used inverter for sale. Fully functional when removed from an RV trailer to upgrade to a higher capacity system. Was used for roughly 2 years. Specs are listed below:

Widely understood that they have a shop in Mexico do the 4x4 conversions, clean them up to look super new and in good shape, send them back to socal to sell them at a massive profit. There have been numerous examples shared by others of poor workmanship on the 4x4 conversions (terrible welds...
