Oh, yeah that's a little bad. I had one with the wheel well rusted through, rust free to some people's standards. I prefer 0 rust

A couple, sell it to someone with a different idea of what rust is and get one from the southwest with no rust. You can prevent rust but it's really hard to remove it, I've done some major rust repairs on other rigs and even though I understand the sentimental attachment to vehicles it's cheaper...

quick question about the ADD bumpers

They are made to order unless I make some extras when I have time, I did make one for PA_JERO with a 3" body lift. His was a full custom everything deal with sliders, rear bumper, front skid plate and recovery points.

Not mine, there is one the same color on 33's rolling around. Could be that guy Yeah, we're noobs at web design but not so much new to Montero stuff.

    Brakes upgrade Gen 2.5

The ABS on all of my trucks turns off in 4WD (4HLc and 4LLc), i had one once that didn't inhibit ABS the first time out and it was scary offroad. Maybe check/clean the detents so the 4wd computer knows what's happening.

    '94 LS Wheel/Tire Questions

The passenger side spring usually gets fatigued from being cooked by the exhaust it's whole life. If it turns out you need springs let me know, your truck may still have the short front springs and i can help you figure out what you need.

I'll catalog all the part numbers in the write up for those of you at home following along. So the test run for this setup was just the old junkyard 315mm brakes and they were a huge improvement over the originals. I drove my truck with 37's then Kevin's with 35's and i still had far better...

I'll take some tomorrow, I do know what the Evo uses and it's not these ha ha ha. Close in size though, the Evo has slightly larger brakes but they are very hard to get. I can ask Phil what his measure out at but I might want to wait till spring, I just had him out in the snow measuring the CV's...

The skid plate that is missing is plastic so don't worry about finding a stock one. You can get a metal one here http://adventuredrivendesign.com/ocart/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=58

Not yet, i use a really thick silicone grease on all surfaces. The suspension moves very smoothly, i haven't noticed the polyurethane on the other trucks to make more noise than stock so far. Paj has 2 season on his and i drove his truck last month and it was quiet, but it could be masked by mud...

So after learning the hard way that the Sport spindles cause alignment issues i swapped over the needed parts to make the bigger brakes work with the Montero. I'll make a separate write up for the brake upgrade to make it easy to DIY, i took a bunch of pics and labled all parts but i don't want...

Bomb proofing the IFS So after abandoning an awesome rock crawler axle I decided to just build a bomb proof IFS, the Az Crew has been running various polyurethane kits for the past few years and I am highly impressed. PA_JERO has run a couple flavors, Whiteline and Superpro his only gripes were...

JBFP is spot on, you can get a nicer, newer, better equipped rig for that price. Maybe if it's solid and runs good and you can get it closer to 2k you could do some maintenence and make it nice again. 3.8 powered Gen 3's start in the 3k range, they won't be great but for the same investment in...

Gen 3 Cooper at 3 tires

ClayTK and Canyonero (The one from AZ) ran ST Maxx but mostly highway so I have no idea. I think I was on the trail once with Clay when he had them, They didn't pop but the trail was doable in a 2WD SUV. The Cooper A/T however got a unanimous worst tire ever from like 10 dudes, to give you an...

Gen 3 Cooper at 3 tires

On the Coopers I saw them in action first hand, horrible tires. I know someone did a review about how awesome they are but I'm pretty sure that person got some kickbacks for that article. They got the nickname "pretend tires" out on the trail, they lasted ONE TRIP. I wouldn't buy them with your...
