How about those Toyota shackles on the Mighty Max?

ahem , is it just me or do i see more off roading by montero owners...

I think most Mitsu's are more reliable and better built than their contemporaries apples to apples, Mighty Max > Hilux, Montero > Landcruiser, Outlander > Forester being just what I've owned and had experience with. However I disagree with IncX and don't consider the DSM's a Mitsu car, maybe...

    Howdy y'all...Another new Mitsu convert.

What it does do is "shorten" the progressive rate of the spring, the bar having a greater pre load forces the spring to act on the harder end of the spring rate. The springs do eventually die from this but it takes a lot, mine got to the point that cranked up max meant less than stock ride...

    1989 Short Wheel Base (2dr) Montero Sport 2.6L 5Spd

The Toyota shackles are kind of too small, they will work with some hammering but it's not really that worth it. Everyone I know who has run them switched them out later, do a 2" body lift and run some 35's. The Montero was designed to hold a winch between the frame rails, they were equipped...

    Needed Asap Manual Hubs GEN 2 / 2.5 ?? I have looked

I can pick things up if needed, I pretty much stay out of the hub business because PLH is a bro. Phil, I didn't realize you weren't selling them when we chatted the other day about Tuffpans and such. On that note I've been testing another set of hubs and they seem to be able to hang with...

Montero V6 - Timing Belt Tensioner Failure?

Yeah I wouldn't drive it like that (or start it again), the 3.8 is easy. There are some timing service videos you can follow on Youtube. Get your tensioner from the dealer or in an Asian kit, the OEM part is NOK brand.

    Junkyard Horsepower

It's a lot less work to swap a 1UZ VVTi, and I'm a diehard Mitsu guy, love turbos but time and $$$ per horsepower gained would have me looking at other options to compare.

    The old 1999 build thread

The last care package from Mitsubishi R&D, these are the parts i was waiting on but it's bittersweet because Nissan terminated the engineering program and with it went my connection to Mitsubishi. Here's to my friends who lost their jobs and wishing them luck in their future ventures. Thanks guys!
