Now, why cant we get this here....

Wow, shows how "out of the loop" I am :D I used to spend a lot of time at many of the plumbing supply outfits back in the 80's and 90's - Hajoca, Amfac, Iron Oak, Familian, Canyon, Benjamin, Royal Bath, Winnelson, to name a few. Thought it might be one of those "small world" things :p Well...

    Power System Requirements: Determining Capacity

Scott, my suggestion above it obviously going to add a heck of a lot of weight, and cost - to your system. And I only suggested it based on what you perceive as your requirements. It's another classic expedition vehicle trade-off scenario. I made my compromise by going with a 75 lb. deep cycle...

    Power System Requirements: Determining Capacity

Hmmm... fun topic :lurk: Man, that is a lot of juice Scott :D OK, I am a complete amateur at this, but here is my go at it: Optima bases their AH rating on the 20-hour rate. This means they start with a 100% state of charge (12.7V) and discharge the battery over a period of 20 hours to a...

    '01 Tacoma Front Bumper

Good question and I don't know the answer. It also requires some other modifications too (shifter, floorboard, drain plug - that I know of).

    4th annual DeSoto Mine trip - Oct. 22 2005

By request, here are some links to the forum threads for the 4th annual DeSoto Mine trip: http://www.yotatech.com/showthread.php?t=66825 http://www.4wdtrips.net/forum/default.aspx?f=9&m=22874 The latter link requires registration, but both contain the same trip info. I plan to be there and...

Wow - GREAT pics! I LOVE that place. Looks like you guys hit alot of the fun spots! Brett is a great guy. I dig the new bumper. He was with us on the coke ovens run at AZROCKS - remember? If you want to razz him a bit, refer to him as "berm surfer" or "wrong way" :p he'll get a kick out of it.

Well, understandably, you are talking about Broken Arrow, but I think datrupr is talking about the DeSoto mine route in the Bradshaws. Or is he? I'm cornfused :p I think a separate thread for DeSoto is appropriate.

The steps will probably get munched. Then again, I have seen those protect rocker panels too, sacrificing the steps for the rockers (be aware they will be bent though). It just depends on how sturdy the steps are and what the situation is. However, I am not leading the trip - Mark is, so it...

    Expedition Motorcycles

Cool! A few years ago, Ursidae69 and I ran into a couple named Simon and Monika in Baja - riding BMWs. R1150GS I believe. They were from Europe and working on the BMW Ultimate Adventure and Guinness World Records - not sure what ever happened, their website - www.spiritsofadventure.com -...

I know, but I meant these were the most filled in that I have seen these particular spots in the past 5 years. I surmise that the Jeep tours can't or don't want to take as much time to train their drivers, so made the trail more tame so they could just "point and go"? I dunno.
