Started building the articulated joint today. I`m going to build this first before i place the radiator, exhaust and stuff...
The bearing for the left-right-motion will be made from a wheel hub. First i trimmed down the brake drum:

It doesn`t have to be up high, but it only grows on special places, considering sun/shadow and temperature. You have to know where to look for them...
Parts of it. We also followed maps from 1915/16. It get`s more interesting if you`re away from all the paths...

Then i cleaned all my new tools and stuff from the anti corrosion oil:
After that i picked up my "new" mill. Loading it on the trailer:
Arrived at home...
Not sure but i think it`ll come in handy all the time. But for now i`ll use it mostly to notch tubing...

Yes it was replaced. The L300 did get a really worse fuel mileage. The VW is bigger and needs about half the fuel, it also is a TDI. Has also a lot better towing capabilities for towing the Hägglund...

Also made a cover for the belt sander because it kept shooting sparks in my face:
The cog is actually pretty low, ist just looks very high. The weight distribution is also really good, there shouldn't de any problems. I also was able to lower the engine a bit with the new design...
I could mate the front diff outputs to the drive sprockets with the shafts easily. Problem is the placement of the engine. I can`t put the engine in the front and i can`t put the drive sprockets in the rear. So the power needs to be transfered across the vehicle from the rear to the front...
