building the kitchen -vs- forgo that and use MRE's???

You don't need a fancy kitchen and stove to eat well. I keep some MRE's, freeze dried and canned food in my rig for emergencies and if I run out of fresh food or want to stay out for a few more days. It is nice to have some food that doesn't require cooking if the weather is bad or you don't...

Regretting my layout and sofa bed ,uuuugh

Check your air pressure and maybe consider new springs in the rear. Agile bent the rear overloads down slightly (too improved ride) when I had my RIP installed I may try taking out the bottom overload leaf before getting new springs. I may check with Deaver.

    New Ranger/Bronco SFA rumor

The new Ranger and Everest exist in other countries. My bet would be an Everest re-badged as the Bronco for the USA.

    4th gen 4runner tire size

I would go with 70 series tires to get more sidewall and a better ride. Here are 265x70x17 BFGs (old style) Next time maybe 275x75x17s to get a 75 series tire

    Maybe a Toyota convert....from jeep

With that kind of mileage (on any vehicle) I would plan/budget for an engine rebuild. 4th Gen V6 has plenty of power in most situations.

    Weight Distribution in the snow

You didn't mention tire size or air pressure? I would experiment with lower psi and see if that makes a difference. You could put 4 bags of cement over the rear wheels as well for extra weight??

Preventing a deep dish of gumbo.... Neverwet on my new wheels

I want to try silicone spray on the inside of my fender wells to see it that keeps the mud from sticking. It probably would be washed of in the first rain or mud crossing though?

How about a Jeep J8? They already make it! The J8 is equipped with larger brakes, axles and suspension components than the civilian version and has a payload capacity of 1,339 kilograms (2,952 lb). Available as a two-door with an extended pickup bed for personnel or equipment transport, or a...

    Driving at payload limit ??

I'd upgrade the tires and run higher than normal air pressure. Also remember handling and breaking issues when fully loaded.
