Jonb8 I posted one on build but its not a real good one. Im going to wait on tires until my cooper at3 need replaced so I'll be running the 265 for a while.
Rayra as far as I know every thing is OEM on my front I got it from an old man who had everything done at the stealership. But I do plan on putting the problem solvers or SPC uppers on when I need too only problem is I could buy a complete problem solver front end for the price of the SPC...
Front, rear, and side I will run it like this for a little while to see how bad the front is, on the street it rides better now than before but I'm use to driving an overloaded f250 work truck for 8 hours a day so I don't mind the rough ride.
So I did some driving around and did some more tightening on the torsion bars, got the front to 37" on front with the bolts tightened all the way up. Still have about a fingers width of down travel before the droop stop hits the upper a arm. I still have to put in the shocks on the back but...
I felt good today but think I over did it....I got the front keys on and the front shocks on....The keys went on super easy, 3 whacks with the baby sledge (10lb head on a 12" handle)and they were both loose. The guy at the parts store called me a liar.... there was no way I changed them both and...
Looking good! I got the front on mine today. I was glad my torsion keys went better than yours... I hit then 3 times with a baby sledge 10lb'er on a 12" handle...LOL you wouldn't believe how many times that short handle sledge comes in handy!
Just a question, why the twin traction beam instead of a solid axle? BTW I always love the TTB but I know a lot of people do not... GREAT build by the way.
I have 6.2 in a work truck, 4.30's, locker, utility bed, tommy lift, CNG tank its heavy and I love the truck. I really contemplated buying one for my personal truck. 12-13mpg no matter how I drive it around town. 16 on the interstate.
Sorry Jonb8 I did not I was to exited to get them put in...sorry but after I get the front done I will take a all 4 measurement. It might be a little while I'm having side effect from some medicine after a surgery so I'm afraid I'm on standby for a little while.
yes the h2 coils a progressive, they seem to be a stiffer spring the coils are larger in wire diameter. the feel stiffer too but whe will see after a break n period. I picked up Cardone springs bought at rockauto. Looking at the tape it looks like the H2s are almost an inch longer than the z71...
Got the H2 coils put in the rear also. My helper had a blast while I changed the oil he rolled around under the suburban the whole time, I let him take off all the hub caps he felt like he completed the whole job I loved it. The Lt springs measured 15 1/4" the H2 springs measured 17 7/8", I...
Changed the oil last night with conventional and a wix filter instead of the fram, fired it up and oil pressure never dropped below 38~ no more knocks...idled that way for well over 30 minutes....I forgot I had it running..
Also been picking up a bunch of camping stuff at ...a........um.......walmart... they have a bunch of stuff on clearance a couple of hammocks for 5 bucks, couple of Ozark trail mess kits for 5 bucks, a Stanley mess kit for 5 bucks, also picked up a bamboo cutting board and utensils from Ikea...
