Hub centric refers to the method of wheel centering. A hub centric rim mounts up with a machined fit to a bump/protrusion from the axle or hub and the lug nuts simply hold the rim in place.
A nut centric system uses the lug nuts to both center and retain the rim. Many nut centric rims will work...
My Suburban experience, camping with both for a geology field methods class, indicated the barn doors lived longer on vehicles operated by college kids. We had 3 Burbs, 1 with barn doors, the others with tailgates. The tailgate torsion lift-assist springs broke on one and the other was...
Sorry, the would be the dimension of the theoretical "T" shape made by the axle and tongue if the met. For example, if the axle width was 5', the tongue length measured from the axle centerline would be 10' to 12.5'.
I had a Mitsubishi body trailer, the hitch was only 8 feet from the axle. That...
I've had several truckbed trailers. When the tongue is too short they wobble badly. When the tongue is correct, or slightly long, they tow fine. The magic number for me has been tongue = 2.5 times the width. The only other thing, one axle had an LSD in it and didn't like to track around corners.
My former work mate (whom retired his 87 Samurai with 467,000+ original miles, third engine), complained when his Sami returned less than 30 mpg in mixed mileage. All stock, until the floor fell out.

Mr. C. needs to share pics of the 89 Raider he's restoring. Especially after all the parts he's requesting, makes me wish the Mitsus weren't 20+ years old.

The troop carrier and shelter carrier that I've seen looking at these vehicles in DRMO site did not include any visible suspension or axle differences. As I recall, both trucks had a 9,000 pound GVW. The troop carrier had seat mounts in the bed. The shelter carrier had appropriate mounts and...
