    Off Clip On (Mosquito repellent)

I used the Off fan in the back of my vehicle with the rear door open cause it was too hot to keep the thing closed up. Seemed to work for me as there was no breeze to counter the effects of the repellant. I have stored it away in my stuff and now can't find it...not a good move.

    Which LR3 to buy?

Yes, feedback. I was also sharing mine. I did not think that $200 for a NAV upgrade was excessive, after all I have over $30K invested in this vehicle. I know that some friends with LRs have upgraded for less by just getting the disk and installing it. I have the stock 19s and also the 18s...

    Which LR3 to buy?

Just update the NAV. It's a CD...Simple... Duratrac makes 19s, you are making it more difficult than it really is. I like my HSE cause it comes with rear locker, very helpful off road.

    OzTent Owners, Carry Bag Question

Making the bag a 'bit' larger to contain more things will no doubt increase the weight a significant amount. Lofting the thing up on my roof rack is already an endeavor for the single bag the tent is in. More room is a great idea but I am already at about my limit for hoisting the thing up...

    Trasharoo, first impressions....

I remove mine after a trip and hose it off and let it dry then put it in the garage with the rest of the camp gear. Last trip was so dusty that it left a pile of sand in the drive when I cleaned it. I should have gotten a cheap surplus back pack instead of this device to at least save myself...

    Salt and Pepper shaker recommendations?

I have had, for years, two plastic film canisters (hard to find in a digital world) with tops that say P and S. For the life of me I cannot figure out why this subject causes so much concern. Take a few of the paper ones from the next McDonalds you pass and call it a day.

Found very heavy duty tent stakes at Home Depot

I use large nails (12 to 18 inches) also called spikes with a washer welded to the side at the top. Rebar also works, just grind the end to form a point.

Where is everyone getting their cans

I used to use Septer cans for water but full they are too heavy for me now. I use Water Brick from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/WaterBrick-1833-0001-Stackable-Container-Products/dp/B00VJQKQDA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1499339665&sr=8-1&keywords=water+bricks+3.5+gallon They stack well and...

Has anyone mounted a viair 88p under hood ?

Put it in an ammo can ... water proof and transferable to another vehicle should you need to help someone out of a jam.

    Do you crumple or fold?

I have an OZ tent and the only to get it back into the bag is to close it up per the instructions. If it is wet I open it up when home to dry out.

    Socket Organization: Socket Roll

If you only have three or four size nuts/bolts on your rig why carry an entire socket set? Heavy and takes up space, unless of course you work on everyone's rigs and are the ace mechanic that we all want on every adventure.

My Quest to Add a Long Range Fuel Tank To My LR4 Begins

I, like my fellow LR owner, ColoDisco, will be following this thread eagerly. I have removed my spare and it is now mounted on a Technical 4x4 rear bumper with swing away mount, leaving me with the required space for an additional petrol fuel tank for extended range. Especially interested in the...

    Disco 3 (LR3) roll cage

Not so sure about that...they do roll cages on UniMogs, but then that is the type of vehicle that needs one. If you're going to be that crazy in a vehicle get a UniMog and leave the LR in the garage.

Overland subscription box. Would anyone be interested in something like that?

If you are on this site asking 'Overlanders' if they are willing to spend more money to find out about equipment that is already being discussed here, perhaps you might aim more toward the less adventurous of the population and it might require a more in-depth separate site. There is so much...

Helinox knockoff COTS are here! $110

I sat in one of those chairs at REI and fell right over. There is minimal stability in them as they are very small on the bottom compared to the top. Certainly not worth $32.

    Treadwright tires?

I have had them on several vehicles and never a negative issue. They are currently on my Jeep and perform well. The price is certainly a draw.

Mounting brackets for Scepter military fuel canisters?

The Baja rack scepter can holder is perfect for two of them. Military type. I have a Front Runner RR and just drilled different holes to allow it to mount. It is lockable and you could, of course, bolt it to the truck bed with the standard holes. I have since reverted to carrying water bricks...
