Not worth the $$ investment IMHO, doubt you would be able to recoup much if any of the cost if you decide to sale or trade in the FJ. Since I don't ride in the back seat (mine have been removed) I don't care if the rear windows open or not.
After our camping trip on the North Rim last summer it didn't sound like you were going to do a trip report on your Dusy adventure, I'am really glad you decided to do so. Your storytelling is great (apparently many others agree as well!) and I enjoyed listening about your trip over some adult...
Nice FJC, looks to be a mostly stock truck from the pic so you can make it your own. FJC's look good towing teardrops and you will hardly notice it behind the FJ. Enjoy your new truck, I will be starting my 8th year with my FJ this March and it still puts a smile on my face every time I hop in it!
Work of art, that should ride nice! Only down side is there's a lot of moving parts. Also like the fact that Moby puts a parking brake on their trailers.
They are both good quality tents and you won't go wrong with either one. I don't have any personal experience with the Howling Moon brand but like what I have seen of them. I have owned 2 Ezi -Awns, a series 3 1400 which I liked a lot and a Globetrotter that came with a trailer that I bought...
You could do something like AT does with their awning mounts on the horizon/chaser trailers. I use a ezi-up and park the teardrop under it which gives good cover for the galley and some side protection, this set up also works great when in full sunlight the teardrop stays much cooler.
I have the same issue with my Krawler all the faux bed liner is coming off, the pieces on the fender I was able to peel off easily enough but the piece on the cabin is much harder to get to with the fuel can holders and tongue box on. Did you use any solvent to remove the glue? SoCal needs to...
I voted for the ARB mainly because that is the one I have personal experience with, although I really like the National Luna. I have one of the first of the new style ARB's and it has pretty much been running 24/7/365 the 5+ years It's been in the FJ. The only issue it's had is the coating on...
Fridges are like storage sheds I can always use a larger one. Of all the mods I've done on the FJ Cruiser the fridge is hands down the most useful. The ARB 50L has been a good compromise between capacity and space it takes. I could use more capacity when I go to Flagstaff for groceries, right...
I'am feeling pretty good about it, time will tell. I've been looking all year at trucks and came close a couple of times on buying a couple of nice trucks but for one reason or another ended up passing on them. I would of really liked a diesel but could not find one in the budget I had that this...
I don't need one but looks good. I always like stuff made in Canada, they seem to put quality as a priority in their products. Hope they can get it into production, kids on the video were cute helping out.
Thanks for the input much appreciated. With more searching I have more info on the Dodge V-10 some quite interesting. One of the most important things I learned was there was indeed head issues on the early V-10's but appears that by the 1999 model year the problem had been fixed. The truck I'am...
Not a dumb question. I already have a 5lb tank on the side for the galley, the 20lb tank is for the propane campfire and with current setup I have to strap it down on the trailer tongue in front of box which makes opening rear door next to impossible. As it is the door hits the box when it's...
X2. I will have one custom made and no diamond plate either. Also need a place to lash down a 20 lb propane tank and the camp fire in a can. Also going to replace the AT jerry cans in favor of Roto Pax cans I already have.
I helped my brother order his Krawler in 2011. He has decided to sell it so I'am now the owner of a teardrop. This will be my 2nd teardrop, my 1st one was a home built that had some issues that would have cost more to correct than it was worth. We bought it to give the TD concept a try knowing...
