    Bilstein shocks on Express van?

So here is something I'm really not understanding. I can go to most shock/suspension websites, search for a 2005 Chevy Express 1500 AWD and get results including Monroe and KYB but no Bilstein. I look through the application list for the Monroe and KYB offerings that fit the van and see that...

    Bilstein shocks on Express van?

To make things even more complicated, I was searching on this site: Shockwarehouse.com No Bilsteins appear in that list for a 1500 AWD but a 2500 AWD van does. If I redo the search for a 2500 van and the Bilstein HDs appear but only for the front!?!?! The image that I pull up for the Bil HD...

    Bilstein shocks on Express van?

I have a 1500 AWD with the torsion bar front suspension. So I can use a 2500 van for the purposes of searching? The shocks that come up for the rear look correct but the ones that appear for the front don't have the "clevis" style mount.

    Bilstein shocks on Express van?

It doesn't look like they collapse far enough. The shortest 5125 listed collapses to 11.12". I'm not sure if this is a complete list. What model is your work van (1500, 2500, 3500)? It seems that they cover the 2500 and 3500 vans with their B6 HD shocks but nothing is listed for the 1500...

    Bilstein shocks on Express van?

I'm trying to figure out if Bilstein 5100 shocks will fit a 2005 Express Van. I've never sized shocks for a "custom" application so I'm hoping to get a little guidance. http://www.bilsteinus.com/products/lifted-truck-off-road/5100-series-shocks.html (p. 13) I know the OEM specs for the...

    Battery isolator installation?

Thanks for the link! I was able to get my 150A breakers through Amazon. I also found this site: http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/d195.html I still haven't decided on what isolator I want to use. Does anyone use something like a manual boat battery switch like this...

    Chevy AWD

I spoke with Boulder Offroad as well and posted their response in another thread: http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/threads/55578-Looking-for-info-on-a-lift/page4 The issue becomes what constitutes "enough interest" and at what cost? I'm not sure a company is going to want to invest...

    Chevy AWD

This is disappointing news but I guess not that surprising based on the difficulties and lack of info already encountered. I'm ready to install a 1" body lift since I just need a little lift. I have all of the parts, just need to confirm a few more things related to the parking brake, fan...

    Adjusting parking brake? (Chevy Express)

Has anyone adjusted the parking brake on a Chevy Express van? Mine is a 2005 with 4 wheel disk brakes. I referred to my Chilton's manual and it shows a threaded adjustment inline with the cable along the frame rail. I don't have an adjustment like that so the newer Express vans must be...

Thule or Yakima gutter vs. track mounts?

I'll be needing a rack on top of my van soon for bulky, light items (cargo box, canoe, etc.). It appears I have 3 options: 1. Thule 300 gutter mount feet with cross bars 2. "custom" tracks permanently installed on the roof to use with their track mounts. 3. "Custom" gutter clamps bolted...

    Battery isolator installation?

Is this one of the isolators guys tend to use/recommend?: http://www.nationalluna.com/intelsol.htm There seem to be a lot of brands/models out there, mostly for the car audio market. Thanks!

Looking for info on a lift

I got an email response from Boulder Offroad regarding their kit on AWD Express vans: I'm moving forward on my 1" body lift. I was going to do hockey pucks and self-sourced hardware but elected to use Performance Accessories #BB01 (1" Big Block) spacers and grade 10.9 hardware from Fastenal...

    Vehicle storage?

I have another thread going in the Storage Solutions about in-vehicle lockable storage and thought maybe this is another audience I could target. I have a 2005 Chevy Express that has zero lockable storage so I'm considering options from Tuffy, Smittybilt, etc. as well as modifying and mounting...

    Scopes

I have a 3-9x40 VXII with 2.5" sun shade on top of a Remington Mod 700 in .270 Win. A Bushnell "something" came with the gun and it was okay during the day but low light was a problem and I had to stop hunting well before my buddies. It's sighted for 200 yds. and I can drive tacks all day...

    Truck guns?

http://www.wildwestguns.com/copilot.html Oooooooo, I like that! They have quite a few caliber options. I'll need to save my lunch money for that price tag though.

Looking for info on a lift

I just saw that too. I think you were supposed to be distracted by the dirty van climbing out of the mud pit. One thing about Quigley is they do not support used vehicles very well and won't sell kits for the do-it-yourself'er. They are offering conversions for 2007 or newer used van with...

    Underseat, secure lock box?

What is the outside-to-outside dimension of the mounting tabs? If the box is 6" wide, I'm guessing that dimension is close to 12"? That may be wide enough to reach my seat bolts.

    Underseat, secure lock box?

Thanks TJguzzy and 85CUCV, I had forgotten about Tuffy products. I like the looks of this box on drawer runners. I looked it up and is 17"L the length of it closed or with the drawer open? I measured the opening under the seat and it would have to be 12" closed (didn't measure how much...

    Truck guns?

I'm not familiar with Canadian firearms laws. You can't carry a handgun at all, concealed or open?
