    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I saw my transmission temps hitting the 190’s while stuck in traffic and that’s got me thinking the B&M cooler I installed might not be adequate when I really need it. I’m going to try out this electric fan and if that doesn’t help I’ll try either putting the stock cooler back in addition...

I put the truck on a scale today. Front axle: 2880lbs Rear axle: 2760lbs Gross: 5640lbs This was with my static load, me and a half tank of gas. Basically included everything that's bolted down plus the fridge. I don't know how the front axle is typically weighed, but he had me pull the...

Here's some foam inserts for the Ridgid boxes that look like they could be pretty useful. Not sure if you've seen these before. It gives me some more ideas for them. https://kaizeninserts.com/t/ridgid

*SOLD* 1st Gen Tundra Overland Leaf Pack

Why did you end up removing these? They've been on my list, but I don't know if they're in the budget just yet.

New outer tied rods.. It's been a year for front end work I guess. So far, oem lower balljoints, aftermarket upper arms and new oem cv axles. Also swapped out the serpentine belt to a Goodyear Gatorback. Would've been a ten minute job if the new belt wasn't so damn stiff.

My side awning was showing substantial fading and the top was pretty much bleached white from the sun. The inside still looks brand new, so before ordering a replacement I decided to try some matte black vinyl paint. I'm impressed with the results myself. I couldn't scratch it off with a nail...

The metal box just looks like it could be a really good fit and it's actually a bit shorter in height than the Rigid boxes. I'm still thinking about it. The rack sure has lots of versatility. How are the Rigid boxes holding up on your truck? I picked one up to experiment with and got to...

cold weather charge Lithium iron phosphate battery

Unless it's specific about lithium batteries, the sensor is probably only going to compensate for voltage variances that occur with temperature changes. It's likely more designed to prevent over/under charging. Also, the sensor will only work properly if it's in the same location as the battery.

Thanks. I can reach the middle of the rack pretty easily if I’m standing on the door sills. I was looking at using the Rigid boxes but I’d really like the option to store longer items. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I just added another 100w panel to the roof rack. It mounted up pretty easily to the bars using z-brackets flipped over and M6 bolts. Also, wired up my lights using a waterproof junction box to try and keep things somewhat organized. I'm thinking about adding something like this to the rack...

Finally got the new wheels put on. I ended up using a dark-gray metallic and then a coat of spraymax 2k. Also did all my flares over.

2005 Tundra novice build - "The Rez"

I ran a couple of those cheap cameras for a while. They do the job decently enough. I put some glue in the back though, where the wire exits. I'd recommend a set of Energy Suspension bushings when doing the rack. My NAPA one is starting to leak after three years and the bushings are shot.

I like that look. I'm still trying to decide between four round lights or a couple light bars. I need to get them out for a test and see what works best. What bolts did you use to fasten the light to the t-slot?

Yeah, I agree with you on that. A larger piece of plate welded under each would be nice.

I picked up these old home made jack stands a while back and just finished cleaning them up. Gave them several coats of safety yellow. They seem pretty stout. Probably better than anything I'd get from Harbor Freight.

That’s interesting. I wouldn’t have expected it. I’m told it happens due to variations in both the vehicle and when welded in the jig. I haven’t felt confident about going with a uniball myself, but I kind of liked the ball joint use in these. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

My upper balljoints were shot, so I decided to toss in the "Freedom Offroad" UCA's I picked up earlier this year. There's a thread about them over on T4R that's nearing 60 pages.. https://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-gen-t4rs/182584-ebay-uniball-control-arms.html I didn't really see anything...
