We're looking... ;) Maybe set the hood on it so you can show the visual of how much it raises it. Guessing you're going to cut down the hood? Don't forget to leave enough to fold under to give the weak hood a lil help.

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Next to the retro its a little hard to visualize. Not only is the retro distracting (drool) but somehow the stepsides draw the eye away and make the bolt together look really big? Maybe put it next to the LJ for something different? Or maybe its just me...? :)

neat. Agreed. The rounder design also makes it a little harder to get stuff to fit. Sometimes hard cases or boxes or what not just creates huge dead spaces with the rounder style.

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Good to know it will use all the factory stuff. I don't know what the aftermarket folks would say...? Maybe the ones made with Kevlar (if those are still made)?? While I suppose it wouldn't be tested if one ran just the toneu type cover... I find the tailgate is a natural "get up" point while...

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Oh yeah... meant to ask about how you will work the tailgate cables into it. I'm not up to speed on fiberglass's strength and wondered how the cables will bolt to the tailgate and if they will hold someone standing on it?

    blower on a JK-pros/cons

RT... Why not swap it all for a diesel drivetrain? Then you could load one of those huge military fridges with whatever and never care! :)

I scored a pair of MasterCraft seats last year when I was in Iraq. They were pulled from an LMTV that had new ones installed (no rips in new ones...). I really like the MC seats and was intending to run these in my 91 Olive Drab YJ project. To that end I contacted MC about some replacment seat...

    Bolt-together fiberglass Jeep-tub trailer kit

Like that tailgate a LOT! Nice work as alaways JS! Maybe you should do custom tailgates for folks that want to personalize their Jeeps... like vanity plates. :)

True...I prefer a hydrolic clutch assembly myself and while I suppose you could go any way you imagination leads, just wanted to toss it out there. Cheaper is usually better too. :) Dig the body lift creation as well. I wonder if you could have maybe welded nuts onto the bottom of the all thread...

http://www.jpmagazine.com/techarticles/drivetrain/154_0609_early_jeep_brake_conversions/index.html maybe useful for some ideas...? :) Or directly.. *quote INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: The dual swinging pedals have been designed for use in Jeep vehicles. They can be easily used on several other...

Help me decide: Looking at 2004 - 2006 unlilmited Wranglers

I vote TJ unlimited. 4.0 motor is the best thing jeep has come up with. The only down side is they seem to still be holding their value. Doubt the JK will be as strong financially down the road. Not bashing them, I just think they are producing a huge quantity of them vs the short run of the LJ...

Switching gears a lil.. Have you thought of sourcing an old Offy or Edelbrock intake for the Buick? You could delete the need for a spacer as well as shave some weight off the motor.

300M? Sounds like a diesel engine... :) FWIW you can call Novak and usually talk them into making a custom whatever. Shaft, spline counted widget...whatever. I have a friend that put a BMW turbo diesel motor and auto tranny in front of an NP231. Novak made the adapter for that.

Dang...Long day of being an idiot just got worse. lol! Sorry. IIRC, there is a seal built into your 18s output that keeps (sometimes) the fluid in the case and not in the drum brake? Maybe with some machinging skills you could alter one to work..? You could also look at motorcycle and scooter...

    Jeep CRD?

Different breeds of apples. Without sounding harsh and offending anyone with my opinion, neither model is close to Jeeps traditional roots. But that is not what they were created for. In a way they have their own lineage and share only the basic concept of going where cars don't and the moniker...

Stop!... I found there are basically 3-4 people making the parking brake kit. For the Dana 300 you can go JB convertions, Parts Mike, AllPro offroad, or maybe an Advance Adapters HD rear output with a flange style DS.I'm sure there are multiple ways to go about making your own set up maybe...

    Rango.....1942 Willys MB

I like the t-case mounted parking brake idea personally. The original drums were pretty leak prone (like everything else under there!) so a disc may fix that some? I've been looking into a similar set up for my dana 300 as my factory Pbrake is junk. I hear a lot of neg. feedback from folks about...

    Jeep CRD?

It isn't my intent to bash the lib. I had high hopes for it when it was brought out as the XJs replacment. And I got very excited when the diesel snuck in. I just think it has a different... scope(?). Asthetics don't really matter to me so I don't like/hate it based on that. I just have a...
