Magna flow on an 07 LR3

LOL that would be unbearably loud as hell on the magnaflow.

    Gap tool question

None of that UCA info is relevant to the track width. Basic geometry dictates that as you raise the vehicle, the wheels are drawn inward but this is also very obvious just to the eye and even more if you make some marks on the ground, roll forward and then back into place with it raised to...

    Compressor Mount

I recall there is almost no usable extra space under the hood. Is this why you asked about battery? I have a giant odessey 2150 in the lr3 2nd battery bay but can't see how 2 can be fit into the standard location - so what's the solution? As for compressor mount, mine is an ARB single...

Magna flow on an 07 LR3

You're not quite telling the whole story there. The quad tips are irrelevant. It's the fact that the quad tips are part of the last section which has small mufflers. The turn-down version is a strait pipe.... This kit is designed for use with stock vehicles that still have a factory...

    Gap tool question

I'll try different descriptive wording: "body roll" increases with lift. I have compared this at length. -20, 0, +20, +50. At -20 there is less roll and also due to camber, less of the annoying cornering DTC nanny. However at +20, there is most definitely more body sway, waddling, when...

    Gap tool question

I really wish we had someone producing revised control arms like the Land Cruiser crowd gets to enjoy. The idea is to regain what is lost by lifting an independent suspension, which in turn pulls the track in narrower while also negatively reducing down travel. There's a reason standard height...

    Gap tool question

Hey, I'm somewhat being blustery for fun. Even bad ideas can be more worth discussing than NO ideas ;) I just want new people to be fully aware that these "lift" ideas are not necessary, but rather elective for varying degrees of looks vs actual need. I have no problem someone saying they did...

    Gap tool question

Maybe it's been so long I forgot the pinch welds had to be done even for 31.5 but I honestly don't remember. I've been running with all these mods for over yrs now as some were done in 2007 and the fender liner lines in 2009 I think. 31.5 didn't require that but 32" did. I know a bit higher...

    Gap tool question

Anyone running all the time/daily at highway speeds more than even +20mm is a cheap bastard, poser, and/or nonsensical fool who completely ignores "form follows function" idea of a Land Rover. Either do the simple mods that allow running the 32" 275/65-18 with ZERO lift, or just quit posting...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

From L8 " We have heard of the lower strap rotating and touching the tire. Proud Rhino have a made a locking plate, for those that need it. " so what do you think about that?

    Latest Photo?

Nice, where is that exactly? I was thinking about poking around a bit this week. Wasn't sure if I'd get to use the chains or not. They only fit my studded tires so it's a tricky time to try using them. I see you're on the BFG ko2. I've been using the ko for many years and the ko2 since it...

Biggest AGM battery in 2000 lx470

Don't rule out moving simple items to make space. I know it's not same layout but I've added batteries under the hood on 3 Land Rovers: Discovery 1 and 2 they either just turn the factory position 90 degrees and add another right against it. Size specific though. Size that fit was 2 Optimas...

New product from Proud Rhino! The SYA Off Road Extension Kit

Basically everyone on here that bought your kit asked about the rear strap problem and never got an answer, and actually still have not because you seem to think the recommended strap mount point does not cause direct rubbing against the rim edge. Zelatore posted a bunch of useful photos...

2017 Discovery drive..Land Rover is getting back to its old self again!

So you want a car, nothing wrong with that but functionally, the Land Cruiser is now much better in many ways. The D5 is now a very capable station wagon, essentially a much better Volvo XC70 or AudiA6 based Allroad. Maybe best way to sum it up is to call it an "SV" rather than an SUV because...

2017 Discovery drive..Land Rover is getting back to its old self again!

It's unique for land rovers since 2005 aside from the LR3/4. Now non-existent. I wasn't looking for any other options back then but to br clear, my LR3 seats fold flush into the floor, the toyotas do not. I did not try to tell you how much in total I could fit but it's more than even a land...

2017 Discovery drive..Land Rover is getting back to its old self again!

Back in 2006, I had a new 2006 Toyota Land Cruiser I'd bought that spring. At that time I was coming from a 1996 Discovery (which we still have). Sometime that year I saw the new Disco 3 and decided I just couldn't pass up a slightly used 2004 Discovery 2 in my favorite color scheme with the...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

I should've have also pointed out that I had a V10 Touareg for a while as well as 10 yrs now in an air suspended Land Rover Disco3. On the VW I used the BFG AT Ko 265/65-18. I really loved that vehicle, kick myself every few months for selling it but my needs outweighed the love ;) The Disco...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

keeping the struts extended decreases their ability to extend down for absorbing road changes. An IFS is designed to be at neutral most of the time, not extended. When you see trucks with "lift kits", they actually have new springs and shocks with longer travel. On an air suspension with no...

where are the Porsche cayenne expo builds?

If you mean to have the vehicle at the off road height but all the time everywhere, that is a terrible idea. it was not engineered to be driving around all the time at that height. It will handle like crap, be much less safe, and put a lot more unintended stress on various components.
