i think you just got a good tank of fuel, maybe ethanol free, without realizing it.... ;) I routinely get 5-10% better on pure gas and especially if traveling at your speed mentioned.
I've never had the Generals but I cannot imagine the 275/65-18 is that much smaller than 32". I have bfg and michelin in 275/65-18 and both are almost exactly 32". I had a V10 Touareg and therefor know that unless you've made serious modifications, the 31-32 range is getting very near the...
LOL No kidding. This OP got forcefed 10 gallons of kool-aid. Nothing about this DIsco5 is "back to roots". Though you are showing your confusion by suggesting a tailgate means anything. The Discovery and Defender had a swing out door, with only the Range Rover having a tail gate.
It's a...
I have the lr 17. it's not 8" wide.
Your tire size I rear listed as 265/70x17 is not a "pizza cutter" but I guess they might not be much different than me running 275/65 on the 18x8 wheels.
However, on my 17's I've fit these which are "pizza cutter": 245/75x17 E load range Nokian studded...
What 17" wheel are you planning on? Be aware the land rover 17 is also narrower than the 18 and the tire you're choosing may not be a great fit on the width. Will probably feel a bit unstable on highways compounded worse by the tall sidewall.
Obviously your first choice is the better profile...
If there were a "like" button on this forum I'd have used that!
My mods for "off road" are LLAMS height control and 32" tires plus full underbody armor. I've been on trails with signs saying "highly recommended 35" tires, short wheel base, lockers" After pre-walking my lines, it was frankly...
Few things out of order:
NO, you cannot use a different diameter tire to "limp home" Well, you "can" but absolutely "shouldn't" Read up on lr3 4wd system. You could get away with diff size front to rear in a pinch but same axle bad idea.
No amount of lift is going to fix the chain/tire size...
LOL. selfie sitck. Now you've started a new thing. Fun trip no doubt! It must be really special enjoying the dry air and wide views coming from the south.
No need to wait if you do the right kind of lift using the LLAMS electronic interface. Drive highway in the ideal stock height, lift on the fly 2-3" as desired, but also it allows a 1" extra drop lower than factory access. Your dog will love that. ...and none of it will be any trouble...
Can you show how this would mount to a 2.5M Hannibal rack? Also how it mounts to a dual or triple cross bar set-up. I have an idea that one could use a heavy gauge aluminum angle mounted to the cross bar ends. Then that becomes the psudo side rail for mounting the awning. This idea removes...
2007 ads driver lumbar.
08 the "lux" really isn't any different worth noting or noticing. I had a new 06 hse, and still have my 07 hse since new.
no real changes until lr4
LOL. I don't understand why you'd want those but I'm sure that 33" sticking out that far will be essentially useless on an lr3/4 under much articulation. It may look pretty cool though. Besides, didn't you say the reason was to get a proper mud tire? 18x9 doesn't mean there are a lot of...
So what are you trying to say? A pattern adapter will allow other wheels but the problem still is the same. You still can't put a 17" wheel on unless it's maybe a steel with careful design for the clearance needed. If the offset is too far out, then it will create problems in articulation...
Sliders look like Rover Specialties like mine.
More importantly, where the hell is the exhaust ? I don't see it under the diff/axle nor can under the left corner and exit at bumper..... ???
