I wanted to report on the shocks I've been using and add some info on top of that. They are pretty cheap Rancho RS9000XL adjustable shocks. I read about someone using them on here so I gave them a try. I mounted them upside down at first, as pictured above. They didn't do much that way and I...
What kind of diy compost setup are you doing? I’m going to build mine, just not sure how complicated I’ll make it. Thinking just a simple stirring mechanism and a tiny fan. I’ve been planning on a small pee tank under the truck with a ball valve drain so I can just leave it open where...
Separate. I don’t think you need tons of urine storage. Make it easy to dump or remove a small tank to pour out. Depending on where you camp it can also go to ground
Worth noting is the load rating really comes in to play at speed and definitely relies on the correct psi. If you’re not traveling fast enough to build up heat in the tire, you can be aired down and not damage the tires. If you have bead locks you can go really low.
In your picture of the cable at the throttle you can see where the cruise cable will go. You'll need a cable, the actuator module and the stalk on the column but the might have pinned the connectors differently for trucks with cruise so you'll need to look up a wiring diagram.
Maybe not a hardsided pop up and probably composite panels. I’m closing in on having a usable shell and it keeps getting better looking but I could go for less complexity next time.
So I finally got it out to play some. It did great for it's first time out. I got it stuck twice and freed on it's own with some winch help. I've also made some good progress on the box. I have it almost all dried in and I will be starting the fab work on the rear subframe soon. Here are some...
CA does a visual inspection of emissions components, a sniffer test on a dyno and a computer check. Swapping in something newer works as long as you keep all the emissions stuff that motor had originally.
Sure it will. Plenty of people have LS swapped YJs. Just using that engine won't make it legal though as far as I know. You'll still have to get it certified by a CARB ref. My understanding is that any newer engine can be swapped in but it will have to have all the appropriate emissions parts...
That would be an easy project for anyone with a lathe. I could maybe help you out. If it were mine I would get some steel hex stock. One end tapped to match your wheel studs with the correct angle machined on it and the other end flat with whatever thread you want to use to bolt your pelican box...
The firestone bags that I had just used an npt thread in the end of the large mounting stud. You should be able to just install your preferred fitting directly on to the stud.
