Well, I will probably never take my 60 on this trail . I would prefer a newer rig with a solid axle up front. I just don't want too feel like I am ruining a classic.

This write up got me thinking that my 33/10.5's were probably not the best choice for loose rocks. A wider 33 or even 35 would probably be better. At the very least, a wider tire aired down well might help to keep the rock planted a bit better. I would be interested to hear thoughts on this...

To fair my FJ60 now has a fuel injected cruiser straight 6 in it. Passing Cali smog with a worn out 2F is next to impossible so when that engine blew I converted and breezed through the BAR inspection. Maybe we need an Old Soul run he he. Frank
