    The new guys XJ

I made them 1/4 - 3/8'' shorter than the fully extended shocks which are 26". Mounted shock eye to eye as they are that's what they needed to be. People mount them different ways and that will determine how long to make the straps. Just long enough to keep your shocks from being the limiting...

    Post Pic's of your Jeep

Thanks for the complement Dave. The Lapis Blue is a little unusual for a Jeep but is the original paint. We get a lot of enjoyment out of our Burple XJ. While I have built it to be very capable offroad it is a daily driver with 31" ATs and I wouldn't hesitate to head out on a long trip today...

    dana 35 ok for overlanding?

I understand completely. While my rig is reasonably capable in the rocks it is a daily driver. I run 31" ATs on the street because the 4banger in it does not like anything much bigger in high range. With the 34s it will pull well enough in high range to get around but as soon as it gets worse...

    dana 35 ok for overlanding?

The 29 spline (1997 up) C8.25s are considdered by most to be good up to 35" tires. I run 34" LTBs on mine offroad and hammer it pretty hard at times with no problems thus far. They are c-clip axles but still solid units. There are 4:88s available for them now...

polyurethane sway bar bushing size for XJ

The 23 -28mm dimension is the bar diameter. You can just measure your bar to see what you have and purchase accordingly. Poly swaybar bushings will control the bar better and provide a slightly firmer antisway effect but they have been known to squeak incessantly. On your typical daily driver...

    The new guys XJ

I believe the JKS pieces use a .625'' pin as well. You could have a pin made locally that would provide the threaded end pretty cheap. If you want I could provide some.

    The new guys XJ

They are basicly a copy of the JKS pieces with the addition of the threaded extension. I wanted a mounting point at the shocks so that the straps would keep the shocks from being the limiting factor in suspension droop without affecting travel in any other way. The idea worked out very well. The...
