Sway bar time. Ordered my parts from Speedway Engineering. 39" bar 16" arms 30° drop. Have to build my own end links.
Sway bar mounts in stock location with the stock bushing.

Very nice. Thinking of that type on the rear of my DMax using the frame tube that exits already. Make up some alum bushings to fill the space.

Had a bud put a rear sway on his and he says it tows better and feels firmer on the road.

They clear on flat ground. When you stuff a tire it hits. It is not the front as much as the rear. The front is 2" forward over stock. Trimming the rear fenders on the suburban is a little different then the truck. The rear AC lines run down the passenger side rockers.

I ran into the same problem with the tires even little 35s rubbing in the rear, solved it with 44mm offset wheels and 2" spacers. I also run 37x12.5" tires. I had Toyo 12.5" and 13.5" back there but 13.5s rubbed, 12.5s do not even under full suspension articulation. This is in a 1500 though.

As far as rear AC lines go, there is a company out there that makes soft hoses as replacements for rear solid AC hoses, you can rout them out of the way to trim the fender to fit 40s back there. Rear heater lines are much easier and cheapper to re-route.

Truck is looking good and can't wait to see it in action.

Got both draws cut down today. Still have to screw the top down and mount the fronts with the latches. I am also going to come up with a extension that I can flip up when the second row is folded down. I test fitted the mattress.
Also started changing out the exterior door handles with black. Also got some new mirrors to install also.

Hey @60beforetruck apologies if this is a little late and if you already have a solution in mind, but wanted to toss what I did out as an idea. I too build a sleeper platform in the back, and I built it to be able to function/fold up so i can run both the 2nd and the 3rd row seats up or down. I basically made it a three section accordion kind of tri fold. Basically used 3/4 inch ply and attached them with piano hinges. They fold up perfectly over the back section and I can seat 7 or 8 people. Or I can fold seats down flat and have a full like 7 foot flat surface.

I put my 38x13.50 on and they are all up in the sheet metal. I have a set of 38 x 14.50 I think will just eat the fender and spit it out.
I might look into the wheel spacers.

I was going to put this same sway bar on the front of my duramax and just never did. This suburban feels like it has more body roll then the duramax. I also need to finish the track bar. Between the track bar and new sway bar it should drive way better.
I like the rear duramax sway bars. I was going to do that to mine.

I have been thinking about a piano hinge. Need to finish my on board air and get the box back in the truck. It is almost Turkey season and being able to stay in my truck while hunting, opens up a lot of options for me.

You mean a panhard bar? With leaf springs I don't think they are needed. JMHO

Finally mounted my rear shocks. The Bilsteinon hose fitting to the reservoir would not clear. I also had to trim a little metal out of the way on the driver side.
2.0 Fox next to my old Bilstein 7100 series. Fox has a larger shaft and body.

Decided to try the bumper from my duramax on the suburban. Not as much fab as I thought it would be.
Plan is double swing out. Tire on driver side and a what ever on the passenger side.

Bumper looks real good, the ends are a good match with the rear lower fender line. Are those recovery points part of connecting plates to the frame mounts?

The recovery points are in line with the frame mounts. It attaches useing the factory bumper mount that slide into the frame. They are bolted to a 1/4" steel plate that is welded behind the recovery point. The recovery point is welded from the back side and front.

Got the sway bar parts back from powder coat on Monday. Then I ordered a WFO concept steering box brace. Waiting to put the sway bar on when the box brace arrives.
Also had ALL the windows tinted. I am also going to cut some Reflextic to black out the windows when needed.

Got the reflextix cut out for the windows. My friend and I joked about it looking like a rolling meth lab with all the windows covered.
Then I did something a little different. This was more of me wondering if I could do it project.
When I rolled my truck it bent the end of my 52" light bar. I am not putting back across the windshield due to the glare that came off the hood. So we are putting it on the front bumper for now.
I needed to make it 32" to fit. So I cut it down. Not hard to do, just took some time because of all the screws that had to be removed. I just used a sawzall to cut it and didn't even take it all a part. I was laughing the entire time I was doing it.
