Looks great! That's a lot of work you're putting into the truck, I too have to do some proactive maintenance stuff. BTW, what did the ICV cost? I also have had the same intermittent code as you ever since I cleaned my throttle body. Interestingly enough after ignoring it for almost a year it only comes on once every few months. Like my last trip of about 600 miles, no code (I have a scan guage in the truck so I know right away if there's a code and what it is).

Thx for kind words. It is a lot of work and after all that work the truck looks pretty much the same but first things first so maintenance it is. The ICV could be sticking i have read on forums that sometimes there could be coolant leaking in to it as the seals get older or any other number of reasons. I got it from ebay and it was $125 US i paid $155 after shipping ( to Canada ), funny thing tho i was looking searching Nissan Pathfinder as its easier to find parts for QX4 that way and the prices wore higher then what i found when i did the search under Infiniti QX4 and found that one.

Great landscape and looks like you're having fun. The QX4 is so underrated.

We do have some great views here but no big Mountains like you have I have never seen something like the rockies but one day for sure there will be a trip to the Mountains. The QX4 is a Pathfinder basically as you must know and many people have no idea that can actually go off road, even when I'm looking for parts at the local parts store when i say Infiniti QX4 I get whaaaat? and then i say Nissan Pathfinder its a same thing :)

So this past Sunday we went out for some exploring near the home area. I didn't get a chance to experiment with camera setting as the bugs wore terrible. But here are some pics for your viewing pleasure.

I did pull the trigger on the Hercules Tarra Truck II and so far I'm very happy the are quiet on road and so far good traction on gravel and little mud. I didn't do any type of off rad driving yet but will report once i have more experience with them.

I went with 245/70 R17 witch is by online calculator 30.5". I wanted to get 235/785 R17 witch would be 31" but these tires don't come in that size or at least i didn't see it on the website. There is 235/70 R17 and that would be 30" so it was to low for my linking. Original size on QX4 is 245/65 R17 ( 29.5" ) so i got an inch from the spacers and inch from taller tires and so far I'm happy with that. Down the road when i will get OME or IRONMAN springs that should get me another inch so that would be good for driving on the highway plus have better off road clearance. With these tires there is plenty of space no rubbing or anything like that and i can tell just getting in and out that the truck is higher. 2" dose make a difference :)

@bushnut
that VW must be there for a long time as its all overgrown and just slightly of the path. It was very cool and suprizing to see it there and of course i was like " picture time this is going on ExPo "

I like it a lot! perfect for exploring and keeping it well mannered for daily driving. The tires look good too. FYI though for every +1" of tire size you gain .5" of ground clearance.

Awesome to see people get out exploring and enjoying their vehicle. Nice tires by the way, I had a set of Hercules tires on my D22 and they were pretty nice.

So we went some weekend exploring and found some nice campsite at the lake and stayed there over night. The road was full of rocks and very narrow as for the most part i guess only ATV go there so the truck got lots of new stripes to ad to existing collection :).

On this trip the right front wheel ( i think ) develop some knocking sound so i could feel it in the brake pedal coming down hill so now i must see what the heck got loose or worn out there.
