Switiawi - yeah for autocrossing or racing DI water and water wetter was always the mix. I was hoping that that is might help but live and learn.

And another thing DONT mix vinegar with coolant! It forms a gnarly white precipitate and that can clog the radiator. Whoops.....

I am going with distilled water for a few days and then gently mix in Toyota 50/50 coolant till it's all replaced. And my overflow bottle is permanently stained brown due to the gunk, nothing is cleaning it out.

so how much of a PITA is it to flush a modern Toyota radiator ???

6 gallons of distilled water, 3 gallons of Toyota Extra Long Life coolant and two afternoons of cycling the truck though it's hot/cold cycles later...

I really don't want to have to do this again.

Brake cleaner and a large bottle brush was required to make the overflow bottle clear.

Here we are at the end....

This has been a crazy year for my life and business. Too many things to list but I thought I would give folks a heads up that the 2013 Doublecab Worktruck will be for sale next week.

I would like to keep her in one piece but if that doesn't work I would consider parting out the racks, topper and bedside.

Things I need to do: new windshield, grease the rear spring bushings with silicone grease, oil change clean air filter, balance tires, and get a final alignment.

Current mileage is around 16k.

I'll put up a more detailed listing and some pics in a little while.

What? Hopefully its for a good reason. Always appreciated the thought that went into your mods. It was very well documented.

Java - Yeah I know...

Reasons: a new baby and my environmental business is closing so I am looking for a local job. My previous work involved a lot of commuting back and forth across the state.

A new truck sitting in the front yard is a lawn ornament that cost 1/2 of a house payment so it's time to be a one car family for a while.

Fortunately I still have my Suzuki DR650 for off road rides with my buddies/ daily driver. Plus my local rental agencies have 4 door wranglers, Xterras, pick ups and suburbans when my wife and I need to get outside camping.

Sorry to hear that you have to sell the truck. It's awesome. Perfect work/travel truck.
I actually came to ask you about the bedslide.
-It's the SE model right?
-What bike racks fit on it?
-What did you think of it/usefulness

EDIT: I have a LB, bedslide would not fit.

Yeah the bedslide is not one size fits all. But It made living with a topper easier. If you are looking for a magic wonder fix to reaching everything in your truck look for something else. A 100% slide out is what you want (think tool chest or kitchen draws) the 70% slide out of the Bedslide makes it a little clunky to get to things in the very back of the bed.

It could have been set up a little better, my commercial topper has side tool boxs which eat storage space in the truck, and the bedslide eat floor space so....tetrising things into the bedslide took some planning.

However bang for the buck bedslide is pretty good. it was one of the only off the shelf options that I found for the Taco. Commercial trucks get more sales with 8 and 10 foot beds to fill.
