Yeah, many pre-runner types love the TTB.
Longer arms and correct coils makes for a ton of travel.
And beyond the maintenance items, the TTB is a VERY tough axle.
And it does great off road once built correctly and dialed in.
But its horrid for a heavy truck.
The alignment is NEVER correct due to how the TTB functions. Tires are always changing camber.
And the load applied to the pivot bushings is astronomical. The bushing deform nearly instantly after replacing.
I know, I kept mine alive in my '96 F250 for years before finally calling it quits and doing a SAS to a Dana 60.
Problems are long gone now.
