We are at the rental house for a few more days, then over the Andes again for some time in Valparaiso, Chile.

Boy, have I ever changed my vacation interests.. I worked in Argentina for awhile and it was my favorite place of all time. Never got to visit Chile.

That is just some amazing scenery. A photographers dream come true..
Yea, I have more money tied up in photography equipment than cars.

Hmmm, wonder how difficult it would be for a "norde de americano" to retire to Chile or Argentina??

Well you guys ask Douglas Tompkins, US outdoor clothing & eqpt. tycoon .... he lives and owns this natural conservation park in the chielan Patagonia ... check : www.parquepumalin.cl (Chile) ... (been there and its a dream for any adveturer), these guys are having way too much fun in southern Chile & Argentina

Spent a month kicking around in Chile a few years ago - Santiago, Valpariso, San Pedro De Atacama, Parque Nacional Torres Del Paine. Your pictures are really making me nostalgic. One of the best experiences I've ever had in a foreign country - and it kept up for a month.

Loved the "outdoor art museum" in Valpariso.

I'm so jealous! My Dad is in San Juan right now picking up field gear for 6 weeks field work in Patagonia. I really really really wish I were down there with him, but school intervened. Hoping he will have some more projects down there over the summer.
