Here's the bottom and very top piece (there will be a center section between them) set ontop of the truck. I still need to put a bend in the bottom piece at the B pillar so it follows the contour of the gutter.
I decided that the light bar should be straight. The Hella 4000's are tall enough as it is, so this will help keep them a bit lower. Doesn't look too bad, and I'm sure it will work out just fine once it's all together. I'm thinking about putting two smaller bends in the middle of it (right now it's 20's in the middle and 70's on the outside) so it wraps around the front better.
As you can see, the top doesn't sit much higher than the back portion of the roof.

Are the brackets to hold it down going to be the same as your SD rack brackets?

yup, same setup.
more progress... The second foot on pic #2 is a little off the ground on both side because of the small curve in the gutter.

still need to add a lot of the supports, and the flooring/cross bars in the middle...

I talked to him on the phone last week about the roof off his truggy, but I don't think he had the new disco then? I bet he starts building that one too. No daily driver for long! :sombrero:
Hopefully I can sell a few of these and save up for the front toy swap this summer. :coffeedrink:

Honestly, I haven't even thought of that right now. I'm so focused on getting this one the way I like it...
I'm hoping to meet a guy in the next week or two so I can pick up the roof off a parted out disco. My truck doesn't have the roof bars so I'll need this one to build off of. Should make building these a LOT easier since it will be in my garage on the floor. I need to see how high the stock roof bars go so I know what to change.
