I can only say WOW. Absolutely fantastic work, and thank you for sharing it with us all to enjoy. I just read the entire thread from start to finish and looking forward to seeing the final result. You have given me so many ideas. Again thank you.

I wish that earthroamer would offer this package as just the shell any allow more DIY work by the individual.

I'm thinking Mike needs to hire a few professional photographers (hint-hint) to shoot this thing once it's done out in the field.

Think of the portfolio that should go with the build thread and the finished product all put together in a nice hard cover book. It's a true masterpiece, one-off custom land yacht! Congrats to the both of you

Congratulations, Paul. Your build is wonderful and very interesting to read from first page. Now you have luxury outfitted jeep :)

wow I know its been said several times but I really appreciate all these posts and your decryption of what you are doing and why!!! Paul you do tremendous work!!! You also give me inspiration to work on my expo rig; I really think I have to go to flagstaff to see this vehicle and possibly meet you in person. Hint book signing deal? LOL They can charge extra admission and give you a cut from all the people that you will bring in. As a fellow surfer I love your sprinter; lots of ideas taken from that vehicle.

Update...

...just a quick update on the Jeep...

I have been working on the details everyday, taking few pictures...I'll take some today and post them tomorrow...

Mike was here yesterday and we went over how it was, is, and will be...I will be doing more work up in the front cabin, the roof and rear door...

Then his Sprinter gets modified...

Question...???...Since the Jeep has been extensively changed since it came out of the ER factory, if this vehicle was "renamed", what should it be...???...It's something Mike and I talked about...

One last thing...I will not be driving the Jeep to the Expo...Too many miles from here to there and back (unless someone lends me their gas credit card)...Sorry...

I'll be at OEXPO this year and I would love to see the results of Paul's excellent craftsmanship. I'll pledge another $50 for gas if it helps bring this gem southward to the OEXPO. :wings:

If Mike can't take time off to attend Overland Expo, I volunteer to drive the XV-JP down from Oregon! :sombrero:

What a guy, that's such a sacrifice. Would your route be via Alaska, then down through the Baja and back up to Flagstaff?
