Project progress . . .
After the White Rim trip I took a much needed break from the project. The plan was to get started again in June with the goal to be ready for a trip to Alaska next summer - 2009.
The project, and my life for that matter, has fallen to pieces. On June 19 my wife Hillary fell off her bicycle while we decended a road in the Sierra Nevada. Despite the fact she was wearing a helmet and suffered no other injuries, she died two days later from her head injuries. She was only 30 years old. If you're interested I have a memorial photo album set up in her memory here

She provided the majority of my inspiration to build the FG Camper. I hope I will eventually find the will to continue the project, but these days I don't look far into the future.
The tires are just over 3" in diameter larger than stock - gearing has improved in my opinion. I am available by personal email if you have any questions.

How much larger than stock are the tires that you are running? Do you feel the need to re-gear, or does the larger tires work with the stock gearing.
Any progress pics?
Thanks.
I enjoyed the photos of the rig on the White Rim trail.
