Schweet!! I have loved your van for a long long time. Finally it is a 4x4!

Nice work....but why the F did you keep that steering setup??? :)

Spence, you're not the first one to say that :) But I like to take baby steps and learn in the process.

Thanks for the compliments.

Is that the axle I think it is?

Nice to see it all cleaned up and under something other than the eve of my house...

:)

What is the axle out of? Do you have any pics with the wheels on? How much lift did you get in the front going spring over?

BigAl, I'm getting an extra 2 inches of lift (note: previously it had a Fabtech 2WD 4.5-in spindle lift). So, it actually now has 6.5 inches of lift, add 2.5 more inches due to the 19.5 wheels/taller tires and the total ride height increase from stock is 9 inches). I now have to have my rear leaf springs re-arched in order to gain 2 inches of lift at the rear (it already has a 4-inch block back there). No worries because it's a dually, it has a very wide track.

The axle is from a 79 Ford F350.

It's dark out right now I will take and post the picture of it on wheels tomorrow. It's only an inch higher than when the axle is on jackstands.

78Bronco, of course I will address the steering setup in time. Plan B is a set of threaded inserts, dom tubing and a Ford Pitman arm (and TREs which I already have a bunch of).
