Just bought a 1991 e350 bus..it has 7.3 diesel with 50k on it..my plan is to buy an older quingley van as a parts vehicle and do a low cost conversion..
Question will this work with a gas 4x4 van...
I know tranny will be different but think its just a detached transfer case. Any help would be great

Usually a divorced case isn't used because of interference with fuel tank. (Tank has to be replaced/ modified even with bolt up case.) Output shaft and tail housing must be changed.
But if you have a parts van???

Oh yea... They also get really carried away welding the control arm brackets to the frame..... Pack a lunch!

Not sure. But I thought the diesel uses an adapter from the factory.

Now im trying to decide if I should use an old ford 4x4 van(conversion) as a parts van or buy the basic kit from pathfinder vans..kits is basically shackls and leaf springs

So you probably have the E4OD tranny...an adapter for the transfer case goes on the back...not too hard to find in a junkyard...any 4x4 E4OD ( also check newer 4R100 which is an E4OD by another name and it may work...I have the Dana 44 Im trying to get rid of and have the same engine and trans as yours...E4OD are not bad if they are beefed up and my transfer case was a BW 1356 which also isn't bad ...still using it and it has never been rebuilt...

Again should be able to find the parts easy
