. just deciding on a color for the bars.

gotta be black alan
door handles and all the plastic bits are black, another color on the bars will draw away from the effect of the black on beige ( sorry desert tan)
thats my 20 cents worth
its coming along nicely im impressed
hows the chassis going? or have you been spending you free time on the cab
BTW are those plate gutter mounts on top of the cab or are they just spacers to set the bars up
if theyre permanent are you going to scallop out the centre to reduce weight and dress it up a bit?

Hi Stu, probably black bars i don't know yet.
Not much progress on the chassis been spending all my time on the cab because this is at home so easier done after hours.
The plates are permanent but i will be cutting some sort of shape into them.

BEIGE carpet in a BEIGE cab
your going to have to take anti depresants just to sit in it

i do like the console though
so is that a UHF controled mic and a HF head unit?

NICE !!!

although Ive found the one thing the Fuso is good at is keeping cool and not using fuel (and yes I know thats 2 things, dont correct me when im on a roll)
the economy figures returned from my trip to Darwin where better than a landcruiser if it had to lug itself (5tonne) and 3.5 Tonne worth of van
and dragging said weight up the Kings Hwy escarpment between Batemans Bay and Braidwood using mostly crawl and 2nd gears the temp gauge hardly mooved of normal
Like me it might not be quick but god it works well

youll have to post another long shot of that cahssis now its got the fruit on, especially that suspension and those pretty wheels

keep it up Alan for a beige truck i think its going to be a weapon

IF ONLY IT WAS RED :victory:

I had more pictures to take but the batteries went flat in the camera, i hate that!

Those pretty wheels would look good on your truck Stu.:victory:

yes I know
my dilema is supply
when i get the chance im definatley going to go for ATW's parabolics thats a definate
WRT wheels and tyres Im stuck on availability in unusual places
19.5's are basicaly a small diameter truck drive tyre and available just about anywhere at short notice
big chunky 16's Im not so sure about
I must admit I havent gone hunting for options as yet but what I read on the forum where players are ordering from the US etc puts me off side
I replaced my steer 750 x 16's in Karatha, they had to get them up from Perth, that wasnt a problem and didnt take to long but
Im sure I would have looked like some big gay city wuss bag had I asked for some exotic wide 16's
and chances are Id still be in Karatha
and seeing as when we leave Darwin its accross the top, no place to do a tire at the best of times
Im probably mis informed
Alan youve done your homework. whats you take on it

I'm too lazy to unbolt it everytime i want to tilt the cab.
With your skills Alan, I would have thought that a small hydraulic raising/lowering system for the bullbar would have been a simple thing for you to add.
You could even go as far as to incorporate a trigger into the cab latching mechanism, so as soon as you unlatch the cab the bull bar is lowered. ;)
