if you have never owned /used a pop up before and can find a northstar go for it
as most come fully set up.
use it for a while you can always spend the big bucks for fwc,atc .
best part of northstar is real matteres and storage areas (under bed and cabinets on side's of bed.

with your truck you would not be able to know the north star is 200/300lbs more.

i'm not knocking fwc have owned one in the past but now have a northstar on a 2015 tacoma
and the added weight does not bother me.

Oil eater.
My Northstar is a 2000. I've had the water pump and LP monitor go out in
15 years. Some Reflectix rolled insulation really works out well for winter.
The Happijac framemounts have served me well.
That truck should work out well. The 6.7's are stupid fast out of the box.
I rode in a Carli 2.5 pintop upgraded newer Ford and it was unbelievable.

I have Happijac on the front, and the Torklift on the back - '12 F350/ Hallmark K2 (look into Hallmarks,a little more pricey but worth the money).

The rear bumpers of most newer trucks are made out of beer cans I think and the Happijack rear attachments basically just bolt to the bumper. With the Torklift rears, you just slide them into the hitch, works great. The front Torklifts attach to the frame under the bed, while they probably won't catch or drag, it always seemed to me that I would catch them on something and get hung up. The Happijac system on the front seems to be better for me at least. Definitly strong enough for an expedition style camper like a Hallmark or Northstar. Some ridiculous triple slide behemoth may be another story though

The forward Happijac attach for turnbuckle should keep the turnbuckle out of the way of the fuel fill access....
It is a problem with the fwd frame mount Torklift in some trucks..... My 2009 Ram for instance.

Why wait?

There's no written rule that says you can't pop the top and camp in your driveway. Doing so during the work week is a great way to develop short term parking and packing processes.

Why wait, a bunch of ski areas allow camping in their parking lots. Mary Jane C Lot allows camping and then you are 30 feet from the lift.

Nice!

TC650's sure do look at-home on crew cab Super Duty's, don't they?

Yeah I think it looks great! To those who are saying why wait -- I think you are right. I have something planned this weekend, but I think I'm going to make it happen next weekend.

Wow!

Now all that's left are 37" tires, winch/bumper, and maybe a few dings and dents.

You will get complete respect where I come from.
